Data location certification

0

Hello,

I use an EC2 instance where some inportant and sensitive data are located. My clients are really concern about how these data are secured, and they frequently ask me to justify myself on this point. My services are hosted on EC2 instances within the AWS Europe (Paris) Region.

I would like to know where I could find a certificate or a paper confirming the following details:

  1. Our data is hosted in the AWS Europe (Paris) Region.
  2. The specific services and instances we are using are compliant with French data residency requirements.
  3. The security measures in place to ensure the integrity and confidentiality of our data within this region.

Does someone know where I could find something like this adapted to my instance (Artefact gives only AWS certification, not adapted to my account).

AWS doesn't provide documents or certification specific to accounts or instances. You can find a digital sovereignty blog here that might help. https://aws.amazon.com/blogs/security/aws-digital-sovereignty-pledge-control-without-compromise/

This falls under digital sovereignty, and there should be resources in this section that can help you https://aws.amazon.com/compliance/digital-sovereignty/

If you are part of a large organisation with a paid-for support plan https://aws.amazon.com/premiumsupport/plans/ it would be advisable to raise a support call to get the exact status in writing from AWS (re:Post is community-based and responses cannot be assume to be from AWS employees, nor to be the official position of AWS).

If you have Enterprise support then engage your Technical Account Manager.
