To resolve your network failure issue with Amazon Managed Blockchain in the ap-southeast-1 region, I recommend the following steps:
-
Check IAM permissions: Ensure your IAM user has the necessary permissions to access Amazon Managed Blockchain. You might need specific permissions for creating and managing blockchain networks.
-
Verify service availability: Amazon Managed Blockchain might not be available in all regions. Confirm that the service is available in ap-southeast-1 (Singapore).
-
Try a different region: If the service is not available in ap-southeast-1, try accessing it from another region where it is supported.
-
Authentication method: When connecting to Amazon Managed Blockchain, you need to authenticate using the AWS Signature Version 4 signing process.
-
Check AWS service status: Verify if there are any ongoing service disruptions for Amazon Managed Blockchain in your region.
To get started with Amazon Managed Blockchain once you resolve the network issue:
- You'll need an AWS account with the necessary IAM permissions
- You can create a blockchain network using the AWS Management Console, AWS CLI, or AWS SDKs
- Amazon Managed Blockchain supports Hyperledger Fabric, Ethereum, and Bitcoin networks
Note that while you're on the Free tier with credits, Amazon Managed Blockchain pricing is based on the number of nodes, node type, and region, so check the pricing details to understand potential costs.

Hey,
Hope you're keeping well.
Amazon Managed Blockchain is only available in certain regions, and ap-southeast-1 (Singapore) currently supports Hyperledger Fabric but not Ethereum. If you see a “Network Failure” in the console, first confirm the service availability in the AWS Regional Services List. Also check the AWS Service Health Dashboard for any outages in that region. If the service is available and healthy, try clearing your browser cache or using a different browser, and ensure your IAM user or role has managedblockchain:* permissions.
Thanks and regards,
Taz
Hey,
Hope you're keeping well.
Amazon Managed Blockchain is only available in specific regions, and ap-southeast-1 (Singapore) currently supports Hyperledger Fabric but not Ethereum. If you’re getting a “Network Failure” in the console, first confirm the service is enabled for that region by checking the AWS Regional Services List. Also verify your IAM user or role has managedblockchain:* permissions and no Service Control Policies are blocking access. If the service is available and permissions are correct, try clearing your browser cache or using a different browser, as console rendering issues can sometimes cause this error.
Thanks and regards,
Taz
