Unable to Create Amazon QuickSight Account — Page Reloads Without Progress

0

Hi everyone,

I’m trying to sign up for an Amazon QuickSight account to test the service during the 30-day free trial, but I’m unable to complete the subscription process.

Here’s what I’ve done so far: Amazon quick suite subscription screen

  1. Logged in through the AWS Management Console.
  2. Searched for and accessed Amazon QuickSight.
  3. Filled in all required fields for the subscription setup.

Subscription Screen

However, when I click “Create account”, the page just reloads without showing any error message or progress.

My goal is to create the account using a South America (São Paulo) region server. I’ve been trying for a full day, but the issue persists — the page simply reloads without error messages in the frontEnd.

Looking at the network request logs, I noticed the following (see attached screenshot): Network Error

How can I fix this issue so I can proceed with the free trial and start testing QuickSight?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Based on the information provided, it appears you're experiencing an authentication or account creation issue with Amazon QuickSight. Here are some potential solutions:

  1. Check AWS Region Compatibility: Verify that Amazon QuickSight is fully supported in the South America (São Paulo) region. Sometimes services may have limited availability in certain regions.

  2. Browser Issues: Try clearing your browser's cache and cookies, or use a different browser altogether. Sometimes authentication issues can be related to browser settings.

  3. IAM Permissions: Ensure that your IAM user or role has the necessary permissions to create a QuickSight account. You might need specific permissions to set up QuickSight resources.

  4. Alternative Account Creation Method: If you're trying to create a QuickSight account through Amazon Q Business, you could try creating it directly through the QuickSight service page instead, or vice versa.

  5. Service Role: The account creation process requires setting up a service role. Make sure you have permissions to create IAM roles if you're selecting the option to create a new service role.

  6. Contact AWS Support: If the issue persists, note the request ID from your network error logs and contact AWS Support. The request ID will help them diagnose the specific issue you're encountering.

Amazon QuickSight has a serverless architecture that should scale automatically, so the issue is likely related to account setup permissions rather than service capacity.
