GG CloudWatch Metrics connector vs IoT Analytics

0

I 'm currently using the GG CloudWatch Metrics connector for creating custom CW metrics from collected telemetry data (operational data like memory usage, operating temperatures, local device alarms, etc. - not application data) from a GG Core device. Now I'm wondering if I should be using IoT Analytics instead. Are there any guidelines for when to use one over the other in terms of data storage, cost, or performance?

Hi JennaSys,

It sounds like you're wanting time series data. Greengrass 1.10 just released a stream manager.

Here's another blog post you might be interested in regarding IoT Analytics.
You can also look at the AWS Solutions page.

As for cost and other comparisons it would really depend on your specific use case.

Thanks,
