Workmail no longer working


I can no longer login to my Workmail account from my desktop (I tried both Edge or in Chrome). The system keeps telling me my name and password are not correct, which is not the case. My Workmail credentials work just fine accessing my email from my iPhone. And I checked the AWS Console settings - everything is fine and I didn't change anything. Everything was working fine until yesterday.

I'm sorry to hear you're experiencing problems with logging on to WorkMail. Often this issue occurs when the mailbox is locked. Some process try to log on to the mailbox with a incorrect password which results in to many failed login attempts and the mailbox is temporarily locked.

You can check all you apps to ensure they use the correct password but if that is not the case you can restrict access to your WorkMail organization via access control rules.

  • Thanks for your reply. I was able to get into my workmail using the Chrome browser before reading this post. But I still cannot access webmail via Edge. I just checked (and tested) my access control rules but no change - I still cannot access Workmail from Microsoft Edge.
