You should be able to empty the bucket and permanently delete it. Are you saying the backup process is recreating the bucket? https://repost.aws/knowledge-center/s3-delete-bucket.
Thanks for your reply. Yes, I found the old objects shown again, and FYI since I created Lifecycle rules, i checked the billing still increasing. Now I am trying to delete the bucket again and the process is in progress right now..(already 65 GB)
The delete process stucked at 698400 objects, 95.9 GB This is not for the first time, I have tried several times Then I got info about creating Lifecycle rules, and I created 2 rules to delete the bucket, but until now my bucket files/folders contents still exist. Please help. Thanks
I also have tried to delete the bucket but I can't because the bucket is not empty. If I try to delete the bucket object (there is only 1), the backup process always stucked.
HI,
Check Object Versions: Some cloud storage services support versioning of objects. Ensure that you are deleting all versions of the objects, not just the latest. If versioning is enabled, you may need to delete all versions before deleting the bucket.
Monitoring Deletion Progress: Since the deletion process is in progress, allow it to complete. Depending on the size of the bucket, it might take some time. You can monitor the progress through your cloud storage provider's console or API.
how to delete all versions ? because everytime I delete a folder then I enable show version, I still find the previous versions. how to disable the bucket version creation?
