Cannot delete my daily backup bucket

0

I have a backup bucket created by my hosting provider, that I would like to remove but I can't. I didn't know that it was daily backup. I think it only one backup that it would stop backing up. So I didn't monitor it, then when I checked few days after, I was shocked because my billing almost near $100, and increasing daily. I have followed the instruction to create Lifecycle rules to delete the bucket but the backup process keep creating everyday, and my daily cost still increasing. I read that the cost will stop if I created the rule to delete all the backup objets. I tried again to delete the bucket content manualy but when I checked the day after, there are new backup folders created again. I'm very frustated because my billing will increase everyday. Can someone from AWS will help me how to solve the problem? Can I apply for payment relief for this accident? because I really didn't expect this to happen and my bill continues to increase. The bucket name: bucketforscala. I attached the Lifecycle rules i have made. ss1 ss2 ss3

You should be able to empty the bucket and permanently delete it. Are you saying the backup process is recreating the bucket? https://repost.aws/knowledge-center/s3-delete-bucket.

Thanks for your reply. Yes, I found the old objects shown again, and FYI since I created Lifecycle rules, i checked the billing still increasing. Now I am trying to delete the bucket again and the process is in progress right now..(already 65 GB)

The delete process stucked at 698400 objects, 95.9 GB stucked This is not for the first time, I have tried several times Then I got info about creating Lifecycle rules, and I created 2 rules to delete the bucket, but until now my bucket files/folders contents still exist. Please help. Thanks

I also have tried to delete the bucket but I can't because the bucket is not empty. Enter image description here If I try to delete the bucket object (there is only 1), the backup process always stucked.

HI,

Check Object Versions: Some cloud storage services support versioning of objects. Ensure that you are deleting all versions of the objects, not just the latest. If versioning is enabled, you may need to delete all versions before deleting the bucket.

Monitoring Deletion Progress: Since the deletion process is in progress, allow it to complete. Depending on the size of the bucket, it might take some time. You can monitor the progress through your cloud storage provider's console or API.
