Changing a Route 53 domain to list as Educational category

0

My company is a educational research non-profit organization and is categorized as an educational institution.

We have registered a domain with .net TLD from Route 53 in AWS for hosting some educational questionnaire surveys and there is a requirement of some of the participant countries to categorize this domain as an educational domain, which helps them in providing access to it through their governmental IT policies.

But I am unable to find any similar option to do this on Route 53, so could you please help me with the process to get this done.

Thanks

The current list of domains that you can register with Route 53 or transfer in from an external registrar can be found in the Route 53 documentation. Some of these TLDs might meet your needs, like .school or .education, so I'd encourage you to take a look at that list. If you need a .edu domain, you will need to apply with EDUCAUSE, the registrar for that TLD. EDUCAUSE operates under a cooperative agreement with the US Department of Commerce National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) to manage the .edu domain. Note that you will not be able to transfer a .edu domain to Route 53.

Thanks for your answer. We have for the moment categorised it as Educational using the Cisco Talos Intelligence service, which seems to be serving our purpose for now, but if we need something more comprehensive later then we will give this a go.
