AWS Marketplace: does pay-as-you-go subscription allow software provider to track if a customer hasn't payed?

0

This question is actually the follow up on this one.

We are using Pay-as-you-go model for our software. Thus, a customer pays only after they use our software for some time. What happens if they cannot pay for the used resources? Is there a way to track on our side that the customer stopped paying us even if they haven't canceled the subscription?

Yes, there is a way to track if a customer stops paying for the used resources. You can set up a payment reminder system that will send out automated emails or notifications to the customer informing them of the payment due. This will allow you to track if the customer has not paid even if they haven't canceled the subscription. You can also configure your system to pause the subscription if the payment is not received within a certain timeframe. This way, you will be able to track if the customer has stopped paying for the used resources.

Hi Alena, check out the seller dashboards! In particular, the Collections and Disbursement dashboard shows you the disbursement status of each invoice that has been issued to your customer, the due dates of these invoices, and amounts, etc. You can take a look at Section 6 in the relevant guide.

Regarding non-payments, there is a clause on Suspension of Services in the AWS Seller Terms & Conditions, you can sign in to your AWS seller account and take a look.
