Data Transfer Pricing

0

Hi, I am new to AWS. I am in the free tier of my AWS account. When I check on the data transfer pricing, it shows 100GB of outbound data is free for every month. Is it only for free-tier accounts or for everyone? Can anyone explain in detail how much I need to pay now and after the free tier and I am using ec2 ?

Hello.

Data transfer charges up to 100GB are free for all users.
https://aws.amazon.com/ec2/pricing/on-demand/?nc1=h_ls

AWS customers receive 100 GB of free data transfer out to the internet free each month, aggregated across all AWS Services and Regions (except China and GovCloud).

If you transfer data to the free tier or above, you will be charged the fees listed in the document above.

  • I am grateful for your help.

I'm running my Node.js server in this instance, and it transfers data in real time using socket.io. and three React applications are being listened to via the socket. Is using a socket going to cost me more or less? And how can I figure out how much?

  • So even after my free tier expires, I still get 100GB every month?

  • Yes, you will get 100GB of data transfer out to the internet free each month, even if the free tier has expired.
