Free Tier Expiration Email - Where is my service running exactly?

0

I just received an email saying that my free tier is about to expire. After look at the Billing and Cost Management > Free Tier I get

Enter image description here

So, then I looked in Elastic Compute Cloud service, and in global view, I cannot find any instances running?

Enter image description here

Where exactly do I cancel this service to prevent being charged after free tier ends?

Hello.

Judging from the contents, I think it is related to EBS volume.
Looking at the global view image, it seems that there is no EBS volume itself.
However, there is a possibility that some snapshots remain, so please check the snapshots by following the steps in the document below and delete them if they remain.
https://docs.aws.amazon.com/ebs/latest/userguide/ebs-deleting-snapshot.html#ebs-delete-snapshot

I recommend checking snapshots for each region.
You can change the region using the management console by following the steps in the document below.

  • I looked through all the regions I can possibly create a service/instance in (does AWS provide a way to quickly search all snapshots for all regions inside of one by one?) and I have not found any snapshots. Is there any other possibilities?

  • You can find the resources in your AWS account by following the steps "Confirm you have terminated all active resources" described in the document below. If "AWS::EC2::Volume" or "AWS::EC2::Snapshot" is found in the search results, there are resources left. https://repost.aws/knowledge-center/check-for-active-resources

  • I have located which region it is in under the "charge by service" in "bills" section of "bills and cost management" tab, with the following description of the EBS - "$0.00 per GB-month of General Purpose (SSD) provisioned storage under monthly free tier". I have followed the "check for active resources" as still have not found the location to delete this service.

  • As a result of my search, I think that if there are no snapshots or EBS volumes, there will be no charge. If you have any concerns, I recommend opening a case with AWS Support under "Account and billing". Inquiries under "Account and billing" can be made free of charge. https://docs.aws.amazon.com/awssupport/latest/user/case-management.html
