Better sound quality

0

Hi,

I´m a sound engineer trying to use AWS workspaces and AWS EC2, however im looking for a higher sample rate (at least 44.1 kHz) and a bit depth of at least 24-bit. The services I mentioned i´m using deliver a low sample rate and low bit depth.

What suggestions do you have?

How can I increase both?

What services, EC2 instances or other suggestions do you have?

If you are using the PCOIP Protocol, you are able to configure Audio settings using GPO's https://www.teradici.com/web-help/pcoip_agent/standard_agent/windows/20.07/admin-guide/configuring/configuring/

Im looking for GPO's for the WSP protocol, but I cant find a link of intrest atm..

Hi Juan, did you try to activate "Amazon Connect audio optimization" in your Workspaces ?

You can enable Amazon Connect Contact Control Panel (CCP) audio optimization for your WorkSpaces fleets to enhance security and to enable native-quality audio. After enabling CCP audio optimization, the CCP audio will be processed by the client endpoints, while WorkSpaces users can interact with the CCP from within their WorkSpaces.

See documentation at https://docs.aws.amazon.com/workspaces/latest/adminguide/enable-amazon-connect-audio-optimization.html

Best,

Didier

  • Thank you,

I used it and it seems it worked, there was an improvement, however I still notice some loss in high frequencies.
