certificates generated by issue_certificate command

I have used my own csr and aws private CA to issue a private certificate using "issue-certificate" command. As per the documentation, certificates issued by using issue_certificate command and imported are ineligible for renewal. Any idea how to make it eligible?

Also, I don't see any domain name after i imported my certificate, though while creating csr, i entered CN field.
