How long does it take a Reserved Instance to change to Active State

Hi,

I purchased a Reserved Instance with the payment option as "No upfront". The State is shown as "Payment pending". How long does it usually take to change to "Active" state?

It is ACTIVE now. Just found online that it takes around 6 hours to change the state.
