kube-controller in my EKS is consuming all the cpu and memory Resources

Kube-controller pod in AWS EKS is consuming a majority of the CPU and memory resources. How to reduce it and make it available for the pods

  • Are you referring to an EKS Anywhere cluster?

Its about the managed kubernetes service- Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service. Iam using 8gb, 2vcpu T3.large Instance type as kubernetes Nodes. As per the metric server output, Kube-controller is using 1820m of CPU core and 2351 mi of RAM. This makes the usable memory in each Node as only 5GB out of the 8GB.
