LoRaWAN adaptive data rate (ADR)
Hello together,
I'm using the LNS from AWS-IoT Core for LoRaWAN and it is working fine.
After activating some nodes in different positions, I see some odd behavior regarding ADR (adaptive data rate). At first, SF8 is used. After some time it switches to SF7 and "silences" the node (only few packages get through). A lot of time later (~24-48h) the SF is set to 12 and immediatly set to SF8 before going down to SF7 again.
My question here: How does the ADR algorithm in the LNS from AWS work? I found nothing in the documentation.
This would show why the node is getting silenced over and over again.

Thanks in advance Nick
Hi Nick. Unfortunately we have no public-facing documentation detailing the ADR implementation. Could you please open a support case? If so, the support team will be able to analyze your logs and advise what's going on.

Hi Greg, thats very unfortunate. My support plan doesn't include technical issues.
Is there any other way to get support? There seems to be no public information, I shouldn't be obliged to pay for "basic" technical support.
