Using Oracle Text Indexes - AWS RDS for Oracle

0

We have Oracle text searches in use in our on-prem databases, and trying to use the same in RDS. I cannot seem to find documentation as to how text indexes may be configured in RDS. Can someone point me in the right direction?

Thanks,

Hello,

Oracle Text (File and URL data store types are not supported) [1] is a supported feature in RDS for Oracle and you should be able to create text indexes as in any Oracle database.

For documentation, you can refer to Oracle docs [2] on this. Let me know if I answered your question or if you have any follow-up.

  • In Reference 1, I don't see any mention of Oracle Text. Please can you confirm where it is mentioned? Also how do I enable it in Oracle RDS? It doesn't appear as an Option? Thank you
