Issue with linking an instance name with a dot (like aws.com) to s3 error

0

Hi everyone,

It's my first time posting here.

My problem is that I am trying to assign an instance to an S3 bucket in the the Lightsail dashboard and I'm always getting a
"Sorry, resource name is invalid" message. I've figured out that it's because the instance name has a dot/period.
I tried it again to another instance with a dot, same thing.
Lastly, I tried an instance name with only alpha chars in it and it worked.

This is the screenshot.

I can simply create an instance with a different name to make it work, but it shouldn't have allowed me to put invalid characters
in the first place. Is this a known issue? Thanks in advance.
