Compute Optimization for WorkSpaces

0

Is it possible to monitor the performance of a WorkSpace so its compute-level can be optimized? For example, if a WorkSpace is on the 'Standard' compute-level but the workload created by the user is too high, I could change it to 'Performance'. Or vice versa if a 'Performance' WorkSpace is under-utilized, I could switch it to 'Standard'

Looking for something similar to the AWS Compute Optimizer for EC2.

Hello,

There is no specific or amazon provided solution in place to monitor workspace performance. Current monitoring cloudwatch metrics do not monitor the performance directly. [+] https://docs.aws.amazon.com/workspaces/latest/adminguide/cloudwatch-metrics.html

However you can use third party tools like atop and sar (Linux) to monitor the performance. [+] https://repost.aws/knowledge-center/ec2-linux-configure-monitoring-tools

You can try EUC Toolkit. If this doesn't suffice your use case, consider using 3rd party monitoring tools.
