parseAWSExports.ts:30 Uncaught InvalidParameterException: Invalid config parameter. in aws-exports.js

I am getting an arseAWSExports.ts:30 Uncaught InvalidParameterException: Invalid config parameter. error, i have tracked the problem to my aws-exports.js file. I tested with empty const awsconfig = {}, and the error went away. I have updated all of my dependencies to the latest versions. const awsconfig = { aws_appsync_graphqlEndpoint: 'xx', aws_appsync_region: 'xx', aws_appsync_authenticationType: 'API_KEY', aws_appsync_apiKey: 'xx', }; export default awsconfig;

As far as I can tell I am using the correct parameters. Just need help figuring this out.

The error you're encountering, "InvalidParameterException: Invalid config parameter," suggests that one or more of the parameters in your aws-exports.js file are not valid. While the structure of your awsconfig object appears to be correct, there are a few things you can check:

  1. Ensure that the values for each parameter are correct and in the proper format. For example:

    • The 'aws_appsync_graphqlEndpoint' should be a valid URL.
    • The 'aws_appsync_region' should be a valid AWS region code (e.g., 'us-east-1', 'eu-west-2').
    • The 'aws_appsync_authenticationType' is correct as 'API_KEY'.
    • The 'aws_appsync_apiKey' should be a valid API key.
  2. Check if all these parameters are required for your specific setup. Some configurations might not need all of these parameters.

  3. Verify that the values are not expired or revoked, especially the API key.

  4. Double-check that there are no typos in the parameter names.

  5. Ensure that the values are properly escaped if they contain any special characters.

If you've verified all of these and the error persists, you might want to try logging each parameter individually to see which one is causing the issue. You could also try adding the parameters one by one to isolate the problematic one.

If the error still occurs after these checks, it might be worth reaching out to AWS support or checking the AWS AppSync documentation for any recent changes in configuration requirements.

Remember, when working with AWS services, it's crucial to keep your credentials and sensitive information secure. Avoid sharing actual values of your API keys or endpoints publicly.
