Hello,
I can understand how frustrating this can be!
On your behalf, I've reached out internally to gain visibility on your case. Please keep an eye out for further communication: go.aws/case-history.

When you encounter the message "We can't finish registering your domain. Contact AWS Support..." in Route 53, this is a common issue that can occur for various reasons. Unfortunately, the system only provides this generic error message without specific details about why the registration failed.
Possible reasons for domain registration failures include:
- Issues with the domain name itself
- Problems with the registration information you provided
- Technical difficulties on AWS's end
- Restrictions on specific TLDs (top-level domains)
Since you've tried multiple domain extensions (.com, .io, .click), it suggests the issue might not be specific to a particular domain name or TLD.
For domain registration issues, you need to contact AWS Support directly as they have access to your account information and can identify the specific cause. The good news is that domain registration issues fall under the Account and Billing support category, which is available to all AWS customers regardless of their support plan level.
To get help:
- Open a support case through the AWS Support Center
- Select "Account and Billing Support" as the category
- Choose "Domains" as the service
- Select "Registration Issue" as the category
- Provide details about your registration attempts
While waiting for AWS Support to respond (which can sometimes take several business days), you might want to double-check all the information you're entering during the registration process to ensure accuracy.
