i have two inbound rules in SES, one to catch dmarc rua reports, and then the second is workmail. the first rule have a condition for the recipient, which is postmaster+rua@example.com
. (obviously not example.com, but the real domain.)
usually it works fine, and rua reports are ingested. however, mimecast sends the rua report to an address <postmaster+rua@example.com>
. note the angle brackets, despite no name is given.
interestingly, ses does not recognize this as a match, and continues delivering the report to the postmaster mailbox. it is not allowed to include angle brackets in recipient conditions, so that's not going to help either.
