Do You Have to Add New MX or TXT Records to a Domain using SES?

0

I currently have two domains that use Simple Email Service. Those domains already have MX and TXT records in the DNS settings. I want to test Workmail without impacting a current email address using SES. Do I need to add new records or update the current ones?

Hi,

Its nice to hear you're interested in WorkMail. When creating a WorkMail organization you get a free domain that can be used for testing.

For your current TXT verification records and MX records, the TXT records will be the same and should work when adding a domain in WorkMail. For the MX records, if they already point to SES, they can be re-used. For each MX record you will get 2 inbound rules in SES. 1 for WorkMail and the existing actions if any.

Kind regards,
Robin
