Hi there,
I understand you're experiencing domain renewal issue that is time-sensitive. While wait times can very depending on case volume, I've reached out internally to emphasize your urgency. Continue to monitor our Support Center for an update: http://go.aws/support-center.

I understand your frustration with the manual renewal issue. Let me provide some guidance on what you can do.
First, regarding your existing case, the best course of action is to continue adding correspondence through the AWS Support Center at https://console.aws.amazon.com/support/. When you add updates to your case, make sure to include all relevant details about the error you're experiencing and the troubleshooting steps you've already taken.
For the immediate renewal issue, here are a few things to verify:
-
Check your domain status: Use a WHOIS lookup to verify your domain's current status. If the domain shows a status of "clientHold" or "serverHold," this would prevent renewal operations. Since Route 53 is your registrar, this information would be helpful to include in your support case correspondence.
-
Verify auto-renewal is still enabled: Even though you're trying to manually renew, confirm that auto-renewal hasn't been accidentally disabled. You can check this in the Route 53 console under Registered Domains by selecting your domain and reviewing the auto-renewal status.
-
AWS Support plan: If you need faster response times for domain registration issues, you might want to review your current AWS Support plan options, as different support tiers offer different response time commitments.
Since domain registration issues can be time-sensitive, especially with the upcoming price change deadline you mentioned, I'd recommend adding another detailed update to your support case emphasizing the time-sensitive nature due to the July 1 pricing change. Include the exact error message, the steps you've taken, and confirmation that your payment method and contact information are current and valid.
Domain registration and renewal issues typically require AWS Support intervention when they involve backend registration systems, so continuing to work through the Support Center is the appropriate path forward.

The domain has the status "client transfer prohibited" (clientTransferProhibited), not clientHold or serverHold. This is fine, I am not trying to transfer the domain. I checked and "Auto-renew" is currently enabled. I have the "Basic Support" plan. I have already updated the ticket multiple times with the relevant information.
On a basic plan you don’t get to jump the line I. Front of people. Paid plans get support, basic support gets it when time allows.
It's been almost a month. I still haven't received a reply. I understand, that "free" support plans might have slower response times, but this is a "please, take my money" issue, not a technical question. I want you to understand that if I am unable to resolve this issue before the pricing change, then I will be switching to another registrar.
