DNS Records/verification

0

Hi, some text records have been inadvertently deleted from a domain, and we are getting this message:

"Since 5 days have elapsed, and the TXT record information has not been restored, Amazon SES will no longer consider hillsboroughmail.org to be verified for purposes of Amazon SES and Amazon Pinpoint sending. If you wish to re-verify the domain, please reinitiate the verification process."

I am having a difficult time reinitiating the verification process. I have read the documentation, but I MAY not have the rights to reinitiate, even. Can you help me with this?

Hi CBI,

I can provide some guidance on how to reinitiate the verification process for your domain on Amazon SES. Keep in mind that the specific steps may vary based on your account permissions and the IAM roles associated with your account. Here's a general guide:

Access AWS Management Console:
Log in to the AWS Management Console using the account that has the necessary permissions.

Navigate to SES Console:
Go to the Amazon SES console.

Verify a New Domain:
In the SES console, navigate to the "Domains" section.
Click on the "Verify a New Domain" button.

Enter Domain:
Enter your domain name (hillsboroughmail.org) and click on the "Verify This Domain" button.

Add DNS Records:
Follow the on-screen instructions to add the required DNS TXT records to your domain's DNS configuration.

Verify DNS Records:
Wait for the DNS changes to propagate, and then verify the DNS records. This may take some time.

Check Verification Status:
Once the DNS records are verified, check the verification status in the SES console.

If you run into issues or are unable to perform these steps, it's possible that your IAM role may not have the necessary permissions. Ensure that your IAM user or role has the required permissions to perform SES domain verification. If you're still facing difficulties, you may need to contact your AWS account administrator to check and adjust permissions if necessary.
