Need to export everything out of Amazon Workmail

Hello,

We've not been using Amazon Workmail actively and decided to backup all the data on it to an external SSD. I have no idea where to start, if possible, provided step by step instructions! <3

WorkMail offers a way to export an entire mailbox to a ZIP file in S3. You can follow the step by step documentation on that here.

To export the Amazon mailbox to an external SSD, you can first save the mailbox data in PST or other file format and save it to a local drive. I followed the following procedure:

  1. Configure AWS Workmail account to Outlook
  2. Export emails to the PST file
  3. Save PST to an external SSD Otherwise, I suggest you can also use Amazon Workmail Backup tools from DRS AWS Backup, Aryson, or any such third-party vendors.
