Lightsail - DNS resolves to my static ip, but instance does not load and website not found.

Hi there. I got a freshly created website. DNS resolves successfully. Pinging the domain bring me the static IP I have created. But it seems like the instance is not configured correctly, and I do not get what am I doing wrong.

Trying to access my domain, gives me the old instance's ip -

http://54.145.62.83.nip.io/wp-signup.php?new=www.hellohomus.com.br

But ping resolves to the new public static ip:

➜ ~ ping hellohomus.com.br
PING hellohomus.com.br (54.162.51.173): 56 data bytes
Request timeout for icmp_seq 0
Request timeout for icmp_seq 1
Request timeout for icmp_seq 2
  • I ran flash DNS on my computer, and it have not resolved my problem.
  • NS lookup bring fine my DNS records.
  • I have configured 2 A records (@ & www), both resolving to my static ip & the instance got the static ip attached.
  • I have followed lightsail's documents regarding this configuration and I do not get what am I doing wrong.

Thanks for anyone who will try to help me. Thank you 🙏

  • I was taking a look at your question and decided to hit your site to see what kind of errors were being returned, but it seems to be working. Have you resolved this issue?

Note: Pings will not work until you create an ICMP firewall rule in the networking tab of the instance's configuration.

  • Yes @donleyataws. Thank you for trying to help me out. (i've updated the thread with my solution)

Answering my own question- the document over amazon help center does not guide you correctly. The Bitnami on the other hand give simple and correct orientations. Following him I have managed to resolve the multisite configuration.

Thank you @bitnami!!!!!!
