Custom resource type-configuration under `sam local start-lambda`?

Is there a way to supply type-configuration data to a CloudFormation custom resource running locally via sam local-start-lambda?

I'm trying to integration test my custom resource before pushing it to CloudFormation however the resource depends on configuration data.
