Hello.
When you say root account, do you mean the root user?
If so, first you need to find the email address associated with the root user.
Root users use their email address to sign in to their AWS account, so if their email address is unknown or unavailable, they will not be able to sign in.
So, start by looking for the email you received when you created your AWS account and identifying your email address.

You should at the least have the email you have used to signed up for AWS, then you can do password reset to regain access. https://docs.aws.amazon.com/IAM/latest/UserGuide/reset-root-password.html
