Usage of named shadow
Hi, I am using aws-io-device-sdk-python package: https://github.com/aws/aws-iot-device-sdk-python/tree/e0f9eef8aafdf6319022d7972d3f1f65eefb784d for an AWS shadow purpose. I want to use named shadow, however, I have seen that this library only send message for unamed shadow: ` self._topicGeneral = "$aws/things/" + str(self._shadowName) + "/shadow/" + str(self._actionName) ` ( found in https://github.com/aws/aws-iot-device-sdk-python/blob/e0f9eef8aafdf6319022d7972d3f1f65eefb784d/AWSIoTPythonSDK/core/shadow/shadowManager.py ) \ while the shape of the topic for a named shadow should be: `$aws/things/thingName/shadow/name/shadowName/actionName` Is there any way to use this library without modifying for named shadow? Thank you in advance
Deploy app runner from repo subfolder
I am trying to deploy a NodeJs express app using AWS app runner. The issue is that my source code for both the frontend and backend are contained in the same repo under different subfolders (i.e. my express app is located in 'repo/backend', while my frontend is in 'repo/frontend'). Unfortunately, I haven't been able to get app runner to deploy my express application from the repo folder. My build command is: npm install My start command is: npm start Note that I have been able to deploy the app successfully when the backend source code is uploaded in its own dedicated GitHub repo (i.e. from the repo's parent directory). So it does seem that the code being in its own subfolder within the repo is the issue. Am I missing some configuration here or command? Any ideas would be very much appreciated!
AWS Grafana Bad Gateway error to AWS Opensearch
Hi, We have `AWS Grafana` set up in our `Organization` root account with access to `AWS Opensearch` services. I have created a new `aws opensearch` in a different account I have added it as a data source to `aws grafana` (shows up in adding new data sources) But when i go to save and test in the data source details it shows as `Opensearch error: Bad Gateway` I have tried adding a index name to the opensearch details of grafana , using basic auth, but always get the same error. any ideas how to resolve?
Is ARN customisable and persistent?
Sorry for a newbie question, just wondering if ARN is similar in concept to URN. Take a book as an example, an URN of a book could be urn:isbn:12345678, which 12345678 is a globally unique number and could not be reused for other books. If ARN has similar features, could there be a case that no more unique ARN are available for resource creation once it hit the limit?
Host entry on Batch
I have a process which have to do a SOAP request to an url, but this URL doesn't exists, so I have to mock it using the /etc/hosts file. I'm using an ubuntu docker image, but it seems that AWS Batch overwrites the /etc/hosts file. I'm using the same image on AWS Lambda, and there the /etc/hosts file is preserverd and works fine. Is there a way to change that file on AWS Batch to make those requests? Thank you!
ec2 Standard Reserved instance: Can you increase the EBS size from the original size when the instance was created?
If I have a Standard Reserved ec2 instance and the only thing I want to do is increase the EBS SSD size to a larger size than when I created the instance, can this be done? i.e. if I increase the EBS from 160GB to a higher EBS size, or change from using gp2 to using gp3, can this be done with a Standard Reserved instance? I would not be changing the instance size or type. Or would I need to have a Convertible Reserved instance to be able to change the EBS size? Nothing else would be changing.
Cannot interact with my REST API
I have created a REST API on Amazon API Gateway. When in my dashboard I try to click on the API I have created , in the APIs page, first the screen becomes white, and then it goes back to the APIs page, without letting me configure the API I have created. Do you know if I have to add a policy and which one eventually?
