Can I create a new repository in CodeCommit?

CodeCommit is no longer available to new customers.
  • Beginning on July 25th, 2024, CodeCommit ceased onboarding new customers. Going forward, only customers who have an existing repository in CodeCommit will be able to create additional repositories.
  • This change doesn't impact your current workloads that utilize CodeCommit. If you experience issues, reach out to AWS Support.
  • As an alternative to CodeCommit, consider using Amazon CodeCatalyst, GitLab, GitHub, or another third party source provider of your choice.
  • Existing customers can continue to use the service as normal. AWS continues to invest in security, availability, and performance improvements for CodeCommit, but doesn't plan to introduce new features, except for security and availability updates.
