Recommended Library for Redis Elasicache for ASP.NET 6?
I have a REST API on ASP.NET 6 that I'm planning to migrate from Google Cloud Run to Elastic Beanstalk. On Google, I'm using Firestore and I'm switching that to Redis Elasticache. I found this tutorial on how to use Elasicache with .NET: https://docs.aws.amazon.com/AmazonElastiCache/latest/mem-ug/AutoDiscovery.Using.ModifyApp.DotNET.html It appears that the library has been deprecated. Googling, I found the library "AWSSDK.ElastiCache" but it seems to be brand new; I cannot find any examples or documentation for how to use it. So, which client should I use for my project? Also, are there any examples on how to do a simple CRUD on an object? I just need to swap out a class that will store/update/read simple objects in key/value. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
Primary endpoints and Reader endpoints blank when Redis Elasticache created using CDK
I had created a Redis Elasticache cluster manually and in the details it gives a Primary endpoint, Reader endpoint. Also in the **Nodes** tag I can see **Current role** column which says "primary". I tried to recreate this using CDK v2.33 and it created the Elasticache and also output the endpoint and saved the `attrRedisEndpointAddress` in Parameter Store. However when I go to the Elasticache in AWS console the Primary Endpoint, Reader Endpoint are `"-"` (blank) and also there is no **Current role** column in the **Nodes** section. ![Enter image description here](https://repost.aws/media/postImages/original/IMVyFLC1HHRzingnLgmHt79w)
Enabling cloudwatch slowlogs and engine logs for elasticache redis cluster
Hello, I'm trying to create log streams for slow logs and engine logs for elastic cache redis. Redis returns this error : "Failed to grant access to log group <logGroup>. Check the length of the resource policy document". I have tried to add a resource policy in order to enable cloudwatch logs access but it doesn't work. Do you have any Idea ? Thanks a lot for your support
Accessing Elastic Cache Redis from Celery in a docker-compose locally
Dear all, I am developing a python FastAPI application that uses Celery and Redis. So far I have run these services locally using docker-compose and everything worked fine. I would now like to use the Elastic Cache Redis instance from my company, however I have problems connecting to it. According to celery documentation https://docs.celeryq.dev/en/stable/userguide/configuration.html#std-setting-broker_url the CELERY_BROKER_URL should be `redis://:password@hostname:port/db_number` or `transport://userid:password@hostname:port/virtual_host `. Until now I simply had `redis://redis:6379/0` because I had redis running locally, however I am unsure about what to put when using the remote instance. I have tried using the `Primary endpoint` as the `hostname`, the `Account ID` as `userid` and the token as the password, is this correct? Also, is it actually possible to access the remote instance locally from celery?
Support for DynamoDB as source system
I know DAX exists but it requires special clients to communicate with. These clients are not available/integrated with COTS packages. The ElastiCache (either memcache or redis) interface has wide support amongst COTS software. The route would be DynamoDB --> DMS --> ElastiCache. This way DynamoDB could be integrated with many software packages that support a K/V store. Therefore my request is whether you're willing to support DynamoDB as a source system for DMS?
Elasticache Redis 6 multi-threading enabled?
My organization is using the Redis Cluster implementation of ElastiCache 5.0.6. Redis 6 boasts multi-threading which can improve performance , but it is disabled by default. If we upgrade to ElastiCache with Redis 6.x, will it have multi-thread enabled? How many threads? Is there a way to configure multi-threading capabilities at time of migration?
Seeding of a Elasticache cluster in another account in another region
Giving an example : Let's say I am in AWS region A , in AWS Account AA & have a Elasticache cluster ECA. And I export the backup of ECA to S3 bucket SBA. Now in another region B, if I have an account AB and Elasticache ECB, would ECB be able to read from SBA (s3 bucket of first account )?
Elasticache T instance types unlimited mode
I would like to enable unlimited mode on the Elasticache Tx node types but I am unable to find information on how to enable/configure this. The following mentions T3 instances launch with unlimited mode by default, does that include Elasticache instances? https://docs.aws.amazon.com/AWSEC2/latest/UserGuide/burstable-performance-instances-how-to.html#modify-burstable-performance-instances
