Hi,

I'm planning to deploy Palo Alto Networks VM-Series from AWS Marketplace using the "Usage based with annual contract" option.

If we initially deploy a smaller EC2 instance but need to scale up during the contract period:

1. Can we upgrade the EC2 instance size mid-term under the existing annual contract?
2. If yes, is the contract amended/prorated for the remaining term, or do we need to cancel the existing contract and purchase a new one?
3. How quickly does the upgrade take effect? Is it possible to perform it immediately?
4. Technically, what is the recommended process upgrade for the VM-Series? Can we simply:
* Backup/export the firewall configuration
* Launch a new, larger VM-Series instance from AWS Marketplace
* Restore the configuration
* Move the ENI/EIP and routing as required
* Decommission the old instance
5. Are there any Marketplace licensing considerations or downtime implications when replacing the instance this way?

We want to understand the recommended process before deploying this in production.
