Power Users can't invite external users?
In the WorkDocs documentation, in [this link](https://docs.aws.amazon.com/workdocs/latest/adminguide/manage-sites.html#ext-invite-settings) in the section on "Security - external invitations", it claims that Power Users can be set up to invite external users. However, in the administration panel it doesn't exist. Our company has one administrator for WorkDocs, but could potentially have a few hundred power users. Those power users will have control over their allocated 1TB of space (and be on their own site), and they need to be able to invite external users to view a folder. Each power user might have a hundred or so external users that need to view folders in their space. What won't work at all is those power users having to contact the admin to send a link to every single external user they need to view their folders because that could potentially be 20,000+ external invitations that would be piled onto the one admin. It also won't work to make each of those power users an admin, because you'd run into the possibility that they could inadvertently create and/or invite paid users, and the cost to our company would skyrocket unnecessarily. Bottom line, we need to be able to have power users invite external users and ONLY external users--they should have ZERO ability to create or invite paid users. Those external users need to be able to view the contents of folders that the power user sets up. Can this be done? Thank you, -Brent
WorkDocs client on MAC shows 500gb capacity for users with UNLIMITED quota.
I am using WorkDocs to store my files in the cloud. I need to upload a large chunk of files and it failed today. I looked at the drive info on my Mac, and it says the size is 500gb. The user is set up as an admin user with UNLIMITED storage. Why is this happening and how can I resolve it? I have seen a post saying that the workdocs size is set to the same size as the OS drive where you have the client installed. Why in the world would this be set this way? I am using WorkDocs to store data I do not want taking up space on my laptop, so it surely could be more than the local hard drive capacity. Sounds like this is a known issue, when will it be resolved or do I need to research other solutions for my cloud storage?
Sharing Access to External Parties in Workdocs specific folders
Hi all, I work in Tax Compliance and on a daily basis we need to share huge files (xlxs, pdf, etc) with our 3P Audit Teams (external) but Outlook has a limit of attachments for 20mb. That way we would like to use a specifc folder in Workdocs to share files with external parties (our External Auditors). PS: The idea is for them to be able to view, download and add files into this folder. Is there any guide or step-by-step on how to do that? Creating the folder Giving them access/Registering them into Workdocs Thank you very much in advance.
AWS WorkDocs Drive Client Silently Fails Install
I tried installing using msiexec.exe so I could produce a log file. I see the following error in the install log: System.IO.FileNotFoundException: Could not load file or assembly 'System.Collections.Immutable, Version=18.104.22.168...' I have tried uninstalling and re-installing MSMQ several times. No matter what I do however, workdocs just fails to install, and fails silently if not used with msiexec.exe.
How do I set permissions for a single document (power point) in MyDocs, without it automatically sending an email? My goal is to embed the PPT on our wiki and make it visible to all Amazon Employees, but I need to make the PPT accessible with permissions in My Docs first, but obviously NOT send an email to everyone.
