Workdocs api pricing
Hello everyone, I would like to know how much Amazon workdocs will cost me per month. To summarize my use case, I want to automate the sending of documents in workdocs and therefore make the creation of document. I know that the api costs 29 USD for 10 000 request write But it also says that there is no charge for API calls made by native WorkDocs applications. In my case, will I pay? If so, isn't there another way to reduce my costs? Thanks in advance for your feedback.
WorkDocs Drive hangs during setup.
When setting up WorkDocs Drive in a Workspace, after typing in the site name, it says "Processing..." and hangs. The log file indicates an authentication error. This is before it asks you to logon. It appears to be an issue with the workspaces (it happens on all workspaces in this AWS account that I have tried). I tried it from a workspace in a different AWS account and it worked fine.
WorkDoc File Share
I am trying to move an existing file share from a local server to workdocs to create an online fileshare for my group (windows users). I am having a hard time getting the files to show up in workdocs. I have tried two methods to try to move the files: 1. I try to use the 'Upload' function from the web interface. This is slow, doesnt really show progress, and seems to randomly time out. This means I have to restart the process repeately and hope to get all the files. 2. I try using a combination of robocopy and the mapped W: drive. This ensures that all files are moved, and are the most current version (until I can cut over to the online share). This seems to work for the machine that does the transfers, but the files dont show up on the web version, and it is hit or miss with others via the mapped drive. This seems to be a sync issue (as that machine is aways syncing) but I cant track the results, so not sure. I have spent weeks trying to get these files to match up, with very mixed results. Any suggestions? Is this product just not capable of this type of service (i.e. I should try something else). Any help would be appreciated.
Workdocs notification email address
My status in workdocs is set to Admin. I have been trying to change the notification email address in Workdocs in the admin console to my own, after the previous admin left. and it advises "an error occurred while updating email notification settings. Please try again". It doesn't want to accept any email address I submit.
Invited Workdocs user can't sign in when user identity already exists
we have a situation where when we invite a new customer to join a folder as a viewer, it is occasionally unsuccessful. This appears to be the case when the email address being used is one they have previously associated with another AWS service/account. In the user admin console, the full name of the user appears (i.e. as if there registration details had been accepted) but the status remains pending. When the user attempts to complete and submit their password, they get an error message : Server Error - There was an error with your request. Please try again later. Retrying later does not help.
Amazon WorkDocs: Is there a way to have one doc (with version control) but saved in two folders, under two different users, at the same time?
My colleagues and I often work on the same doc. For organisation and storage when the doc completed one of us has to download the doc and save in our own files. Is there a way to both have the same doc, stored in our own personal files, with version control? This will help us automate organisation!
Users in Workmail unable to use WorkDocs integration
Using the same AD, users were set up with WorkMail and Workdocs access. However the users are unable to save files received in WorkMail in their WorkDocs and are receiving "Looks like you are not enabled in WorkDocs" error. The same users are marked as active and have been using WorkDocs already. There are no issues in downloading attachments to their VM / laptops. Ideally would like them to have the ability to save files straight in WorkDocs.
Is it possible to have a team folder on Workdocs?
To avoid to impact on personal account space, does exist a possibility to have a **team folder** where all the team can add info and assets? I remember that you are developing this feature. What I mean as "team folder": A workdocs folder, managed by the team lead but not part of single users accounts (employee account). If we start using our personal space to store team resources this impact on our personal space availability. Thanks, D.
How to pull a list of all folders in a Workdocs instance?
My team manages about 3TB of data on our Workdocs instance, shared with 1000+ internal and external users. We are attempting to audit our content and ensure everyone who has access to each artifact are the right users to have access. A hurtle we're encountering is that our folders are nested 10 levels or more deep-- there are thousands of subfolders in our Workdoc instance that we need to audit. Is there any way to pull a list of all the folders under a parent folder, including all the layers of sub-folders? We need a list of every folder that exists in our Workdocs instance. If anyone has any experience auditing in Workdocs and has advice, that would also be greatly appreciated!
Bulk approve / reject access requests in Workdocs web
This is a feature request, not a question. I have 100+ approval requests to access to folders and docs on Workdocs. Each approve / reject takes ~20 secs for the page to refresh. I would love to have a bulk approve / reject functionality. User workflow : - select all request to approve or reject - click a list-wide approve or reject button - enter a comment - approve
Is there a way to pull a list of users who have access to each folder and file under a parent folder?
My team works with many 3rd parties and uses Workdocs to share artifacts with them. We are currently in the process of auditing our system to ensure that we are unsharing artifacts once each contract is up/if an employee leaves the 3rd party. The issue we're facing is the number of artifacts we own (2.69 TB) making it extremely tedious and unsustainable to see who has access to each folder/file. Is there a way to pull a list of users who have access to each folder and file under a parent folder? We have up to 12 layers of sub-folders under our parent folder, so clicking into each folder and file to see who has access to what would take weeks.
