Hi everyone! Is there a way to sync files that have an emoji in the file name with the Mac application ? I would like the application to automatically sync my Obsidian vault, but it only uploads files with text-only filenames.
Hello,
Having an issue where WorkDocs will NOT start up under a certain user's Windows profile. This is a AWS Workspace Windows server 2019 desktop. I created a new profile on the same Workspace and WorkDocs works perfectly fine. I deleted AppData\Roaming\Amazon folder which promps for user settings to be entered, but once I click login the system tray icon opens and closes immediately and will not connect or show the program. Wondering if there are any recommended steps to resolve this issue other than recreating a new Windows Profile. I also tried resetting theMessage Queuing service already.
Thanks in advance.

Hi there,
Here is my setup:
- Workspace (Windows Server 2016) running mode set to **Always On**
- **Keep me logged** in check box selected
- WorkDocs Drive installed in the Workspace, set to automatically log in
- When I log into the Workspace, Workdocs drive mounts correctly on W: as expected
The problem:
- When I log out of the Workspace or if I close the Workspace window, the Workdocs drive on W: unmounts itself
- I know because I have file backup software that backs up files to an external host. The software fails with a "path not found" error when it runs while I'm not logged in. But it runs successfully when I am logged in. No other changes.
- I'm not looking to be convinced to back up to S3, I have y reasons for backing up using a 3rd party back up tool
- I just want to answer the question "how can I keep the workdocs drive mounted to my windows 2016 Workspace, even when I'm no logged into the Workspace"
Thanks

To learn for Azure Certifications, Microsoft has some official documentation for each certification such as https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/certifications/azure-developer/
Similarly, do we have any official Learning Documentation for AWS Cloud Practitioner, and Developer Associate?
In my efforts - I have found the official docs/information for specific topics but not like the sequential topics in certification perspective.
I need to download a huge folder from WorkDocs.
I can't do it through browser, because web UI forces me to do it through Amazon WorkDocs Companion.
I've installed it, and it's only notifed me, that it started the dowload.
I want to know:
* how long will it take?
* are there any errors during the download?
* etc.
We need to use preview on file icons while using workdocs on windows (Amazon workdocs drive).
Is there any setting in workdocs to resolve this issue?
We use workdocs on 5 computers and we have the following problem:
- We create a file on the computer and it is automatically synchronized in the workdocs cloud almost instantly.
- Another user from another computer will need access to this file, but his sync takes too long causing him to open an old version of the file.
The same problem happens on all company computers in different browsing environments.
How can we solve this synchronization delay?
Is there away to download the comments that were provided in a pdf document on workdocs. Seen the feature for .pptx and .docx, but we cannot seem to find a way to do this for a PDF.
While reviewing documents in collaboration on WorkDocs, feedback is provided in the Feedback section. This feedback is visible only upon refreshing the document.
Is there a way to view the feedback as it is given, in real-time, when working collaboratively in WorkDocs?
How to manage permission at the subfolder level? For instance, 10 users have access to a folder, but I want to grant permission to 2 out of 10 to a subfolder.
Hello,
I have successfully installed and logged in to amazon workdocs drive on my virtual pc workspace using my workplace registration code, but when I try and install workdocs on my mac and it prompts me to log in, the option to log in using workspace registration code does not appear in the window. Only the option to log in with the workdocs URL which I do not have. Does anyone know where I am going wrong?
