I want to share workdocs files with some AWS employees however I am receiving the following message; 'Sorry, you cannot collaborate with people outside of your WorkDocs site.' Please can you let me know how to work around this.
I have just signed up for MyDocs. I have uploaded a folder. I have clicked to share a link. I have also clicked to invite a user. I have sent the URL to the user. When the URL is used, the user is asked to enter their MyDocs username. Where do they get that?
I have co-owner right but cannot invite or add the person into workdoc folder access.

I'm trying to access root folder of Amazon Workdocs using Access and Secret keys which through rest api is not possible as given in documentation.
Still, is there a way to execute it using client library because my requirement is to only use Access key and Secret key for authentication and not OAuth provider.

Hi. I want to create a workdocs folder that has permissions for L7 and up. In order to keep the permissions up to date I want to use a alias that includes all members on it. is there a way for me to use a team alias or do I have to upload each individual and manually update the permissions.
Is there a way to upload quip documents into Workdocs fast? Other than the manual way of download and upload, how can I do it?
We are experiencing a problem with Workdocs Drive on MacOS.
if a user is editing a MS Office file (word, excel,...) sitting on Workdocs, when he saves the changes everything got saved as expected, but a lot of temporary empty files get created (we observed 8 empty files at every save).
Such empty files have got the same name as the original file, plus a trailing random string.
This is a real hassle for MacOS users, as they have to manually remove them everytime they perform a Save on a file, and unfortunately we could not find any workaround. We tried to change the MS Office temporary location to a local disk location, but no way.
Any other Workdocs Drive+MacOS user is experiencing something similar? Did anyone find any workaround or solution?
Thank You
I've uploaded through the web interface a 5GB folder to WorkDocs. The uploaded folder contains about 2700 subfolders. The reported size is 2GB, consistent with the reported occupied space for user which is also 2GB. It's hard to figure out whether any folder has been skipped in upload since I can't get a count of folders on WorkDocs, loading all folders is very slow, and the folder sort is different than on my computer.
Before you ask, I also tried uploading the folders to S3 and migrating to WorkDocs, which failed without a clear explanation.
So I have no idea how to figure out if folders are missing, if the reported size is correct, or a good way to upload. Worst thing is, I have 13 similar folders to upload.
Any ideas?
Thank you!
Alex
