Aurora 3.02.1 Release notes?
Does anyone know where the Aurora 3.02.1 release notes are? I was able to upgrade my Aurora MySQL cluster (ap-southeast-2) but I can't find the release notes or any mention of this version anywhere online. I specifically want to know what version of MySQL 8 this update targets.
Why does my RDS Aurora Serverless V2 clone not finish...?
Hello, We have been working on migrating form self-managed MySQL databases (on EC2) to RDS Aurora Serverless V2 (for MySQL). The problem can be described by following these steps: * we create an RDS instance * we migrate a database from our self-managed EC2 database to the new RDS instance via a 3rd-party tool * we then clone the RDS instance * the new clone cluster is being created * the new clone cluster is available * the new clone cluster never gets any instances * the new clone cluster has its two endpoints, both of which are in the "creating" state We have gone through this same process a few times over the last month or so and have not had any problems whatsoever, with our cloned clusters up/running within 10-20 minutes. This time, we have waited for 12+ hours and the cluster still has zero instances. There are no warnings or errors or any notifications of any kind (after the initial notice that says that the cloning process has started). **So...does anyone have any idea why our RDS Aurora Serverless V2 clones don't finish...?** I'll be happy to provide any additional information, if needed. Thanks in advance for any help. 🤓 Travis
How can I find IP addresses that attempt to connect to Amazon RDS (Aurora MySQL)?
I want to find out which IP addresses are attempting to connect to my Aurora MySQL database so that I can create an inbound rule to allow them. I have enabled CloudTrail, but it only lists my own IP address and does not list any other IP addresses that attempt to connect, regardless of if they're successful or not. Where can I find such a list of attempted connections?
RDS "Restore from S3" Stuck in "Creating" Status
I am unable to do a "Restore from S3" operation, following the documentation here: https://docs.aws.amazon.com/AmazonRDS/latest/UserGuide/MySQL.Procedural.Importing.html I have tried both Aurora and RDS MySQL, and they both get stuck in "Creating" status. I can connect to the instance, and see that the imported data is there. I have examined the logs on the RDS MySQL instance, and see no errors. How can I get unstuck from "Creating" status?
Invoke Lambda Privilege MySQL issue
Hi guys, I have an Aurora v3 cluster, with MySQL, which has an INSERT Trigger. When the data are inserted the trigger fires a Lambda. If I write within the table using the `admin` user of the DB everything works fine, but if I try to use another user the following message appears: ``` Unknown trigger has an error in its body: 'Access denied; you need (at least one of) the Invoke Lambda privilege(s) for this operation' ``` I can't figure out what I am missing. I've already set `log_bin_trust_function_creators=1` and these are the `GRANTS` associated with the user: ```GRANT USAGE ON *.* TO `pippo`@`%``` ```GRANT ALL PRIVILEGES ON `prod`.* TO `pippo`@`%``` ```GRANT `AWS_LAMBDA_ACCESS`@`%`,`rds_superuser_role`@`%` TO `pippo`@`%``` Thanks for help
AuroraDB serverless Jakarta region
Hi fellow AWS users and AWS employees, I would like to migrate our current development database from PostgreSQL RDS to AuroraDB. Also we are planning to migrate our infrastructure to Jakarta region (ap-southeast3). Unfortunately, we can't find an option about AuroraDB serverless in Jakarta region. Is there any plan to provide AuroraDB serverless service in Jakarta region in near future? Or alternatively, is there're any solution that we can use in AWS that handles auto-scaling relational database system? I hope someone can share some informations about this. Thank you in advance
[RDS, Aurora MySQL] Frequent "Recovery of the DB instance has started. Recovery time will vary with the amount of data to be recovered."
We have a db.t2.small Aurora MySQL instance with less than 2GiB of data that has been entering recovery frequently - 6 times in the last 3 weeks. From what I can find online, this is due to underlying hardware failures? Shouldn't the database be migrated to good/working hardware after a failure? How do we prevent and/or reduce the frequency of these occurrences? Is there something we could be doing differently? Also, our client software on our app server doesn't register a disconnect after this. Does the original host stay up while/after the new one is spun up? I've found anecdotal evidence that the IP might change, with people handling the event out-of-band by forcing a dns cache refresh via a triggered client software restart in response to the event. *Recovery on: 2022-08-03, 2022-08-02, 2022-07-27, 2022-07-20, 2x 2022-07-19*
Can I Import .sql files from Encrypted s3 bucket into Encrypted MySQL RDS instance?
An offshore team is dumping daily raw data from a SQL instance (.sql.gz zipped files) into an s3 bucket in my org. Task at hand is to import this data into a MySQL RDS instance, query the instance, transform the data then load it into a Postgresql instance. I can't seem to find a way to do this with Lambda or Glue or any third party application
