Are the numbers describing the AWS Support pricing tiers exclusive or inclusive?
On the AWS support comparison page there are some numbers given to describe the price of support: https://aws.amazon.com/premiumsupport/plans/ For example Enterprise support: > 5% of monthly AWS usage from $500K–$1M Or > 3% of monthly AWS usage over $1M For the first bracket, a client of AWS may be charged $1M x 5% = $50,000 In the second bracket they may be charged $1M x 3% = $30,000 A difference of $20,000. Which tier would I be charged for were I to use exactly $1M worth of services?

Hello, I'm user 9003412 (account ID XXXXXXXXXXX): my question is the following. I don't understand why I'm still charged every month whereas I don't have any instance (EC2, RDS) or service running any longer. Could you check this out ? And tell me what I gotta do to be not charged anymore going forward. Thanks. Best, Frederic *edited removed account number — Ria B.
Irregular activity in your AWS account - Suspicious Billing with SageMaker
Hi, I have been charged for almost 2400€ for AWS SageMaker that i didn't use or had activated in my account. I use a password with a combination of Letters, Numbers and special characters and also use MFA authentication to my AWS account . Checking the Event History without any login from my side or using my credentials i see all the following events done in my account : | Event name| | --- | | Data |GetRole ListPolicies AttachRolePolicy CreatePolicy CreateRole CreateEndpoint CreateEndpointConfig CreateModel DescribeRepositories GetAuthorizationToken CreateRepository ListEndpoints GetServiceQuota On those events are the creation and activation of the SageMaker , how can it be possible to someone activate roles\services or anything on a "secure" account without the user login credentials and MFA authentication code !!! I've followed all the steps that AWS support had sent to remove all the active services that i didn't activate, also i have a ticket open for 14 days to be refunded for the value that was charged to my card, talked several times in the support chat and the answer is that "I've checked in with the service team and there's no update as yet" ... How can we trust and be safe if is possible to activate services on our account without our credentials and MFA authentication code ????
Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud Dedicated per Region Fee with Reserved Instances
I'm being charged dedicated per region fee ($2 per hour) with the following setup: * 1 reserved EC2 instance purchased with dedicated tenancy. * 1 dedicated EC2 instance with matching configuration running. Does this mean that RI does not cover dedicated per region fee and there's no way to avoid this additional cost?
Does a completed training job incurr charges?
Hello. As you can see in the screenshot below, there are couple of completed jobs in sagemaker. (Similar in the processing jobs and training jobs menu.) If I select one and click the actions button, the Stop menu is inactivated, as you can see. Does this kind of completed job incurr charges? If so, what do I have to do to Delete or Stop this job? Thank you. ![Enter image description here](https://repost.aws/media/postImages/original/IMzOJsW4w4QGWO0LFXm-KlEg)
How can I terminate Amazon SageMaker RunInstance?
Hello. I had an unexpected billing, and that was because the SageMaker RunInstance was still running. (Especailly DataWrangler ; see the screenshot below.) I didn't know how to terminate, so I contacted to the AWS support center. I followed all the instructions they gave, which means that I deleted endpoints / models / notebook instances / s3buckets / cloudwatch log groups. But after 24 hours of monitoring, AWS support center said that the SageMaker RunInstance is still running. They gave me the same instructions and one additional instruction : stop the training jobs (https://docs.aws.amazon.com/sagemaker/latest/dg/studio-tasks-stop-training-job.html) Firstly I checked endpoints / models / notebook instances / s3buckets / cloudwatch log groups again, and I found nothing in those tabs. Secondly I tried to stop the jobs, but I have deleted the domain since I tried to delete everything - thought it would be better (Maybe that was a fault) - So I created the domain again with quick start option (to get access to the studio), and got into the studio to terminate jobs. But all of the jobs are already completed. There's nothing with activated 'stop training jobs' button. So I followed the instruction, but there was nothing I could do. I really want to STOP this SageMaker RunInstance, but I don't know why it's still running. What should I do..? Please help me. ![Enter image description here](https://repost.aws/media/postImages/original/IMCxdk5Ab-QYuhAWNl1kt6jw)
I'm getting charged and don't know how to stop it
So, I just started yesterday practicing with terraform and aws. Me and a coworker. We were doing an excercise to familiarize with terraform and aws following a guide. We were doing the same (except for deploying in different regions) We did terraform apply, everything works great. Later, I discover that I'm getting charged a large amount of money. He is not, his is a really really small amount. Mine: ![Enter image description here](https://repost.aws/media/postImages/original/IMy3H9OLSeRTqJrI0V1nV6Hw) ![Enter image description here](https://repost.aws/media/postImages/original/IMhobkgoQdQH--Pj2Pd-oRPA) This is hours later after I did terraform destroy... I have no idea on how to stop this. What is causing this? There is no t2.medium or m4.large in my terraform code... just 2 t2.micro, an VPC, EKS... The NatGateway is no more... but it says there that it's being used and charging me hourly. What 4 services are active? It also says that there are two regions active. I know that eu-west2 london is one, but I'm really not sure about what the other one is or how to get to know that. I'm pretty much new to this so, I hope someone can help me. I already know it's going to spend the whole night charging me for no reason and feels really bad. Also, if I were to delete my account (not sure how it it), everything should stop 100% right? Edit1: It's going up... Don't know what to do. ![Enter image description here](https://repost.aws/media/postImages/original/IMucVoGiYPRVqpv2FnCD4_yw)
Action Required: Irregular activity in your AWS account.
I have a problem, AWS reported suspicious activity and sent me a bill for $4200. I have never used AWS since I signed up 2 years ago. Yesterday, I spent the day with the help desk to delete the log groups, models etc... My bill is blocked because my credit card is no longer valid. The call center told me to put my new valid card which will be charged $4200 and then recredited by them. But I think it's risky. I want to leave my expired card which prevents a charge. I don't know who to do about this bill. (AWS recognizes that my account has been hacked)
S3 what needs to ReadACL and ReadObjectTagging
Hi everyone. I've an app that stores data in S3 via php sdk. (1) In late April, as a security measure, I change the api of my app to create signed urls instead of just show the files using the bucket url + key of the file, and, (2) in late may, I've started using AWS Backup, that now supports S3, and created a plan to backup my bucket every day. What happen was that the cost of S3 dramatically increased. Between January and April the GET (and all other requests EU-Requests-Tier2) were between 3,500,000 and 5,500,000. In may, after the adding of signed urls, the GET requests jumped to over 19,500,000. In June, after I started using AWS backup, the requests dropped to little over 7,000,000 but then in July the requests sky rocket to more than 120,000,000. All over this months the usage of the app didn't change that much, in July there were more users using it but not that much different from the previous months. In the billing of july, if I look at the details by api operation is shown that what made the price go up was the ReadACL and ReadObjectTagging operations, which leads me to ask if between AWS backup and createPresignedRequest (and getCommand('GetObject') ) what exactly is using the permission to ReadACL and ReadObjectTagging? Thank you.
