t2.medium Instance stopping (it freezes, we can´t access, the only way is to stop and start the instance again) every 1 hour after Amazon AWS Hardware maintance upgrade. "Amazon EC2 has detected degradation of the underlying hardware hosting your EC2 instance (instance-ID: i-05a3208a9d92050fd) associated with your AWS account (AWS Account ID: 924987726575) in the sa-east-1 region. This instance is scheduled for maintenance and will be rebooted any time between 2023-03-09 18:00:00 UTC and 2023-03-09 20:00:00 UTC. The affected instance(s) are listed below: i-05a3208a9d92050fd" Amazon EC2 support is the worst I ever worked with. Any solution for this situation?

One of our EC2 windows (Windows 2022 Data Center Edition) instance randomly stops without any manual interference. It's a **c6a.8xlarge** instance type running at **Mumbai location**. The server is used for RDP purpose. Whenever users complain they are kicked out of their sessions, we mostly see that it is in "Stopped" mode in the dashboard. This is really impacting our production. How do we resolve this issue?

I created a new Ubuntu 22.02 LTS instance two days ago. Instance type T2.Medium. Every night at about 08:20 UTC I get an error message in the log 'eth0 Could not set route: Connection Timed Out'. up until this point my log is full of standard docker messages about mounts being deactivated and the application is running fine. All normal messages have stopped, docker isn't deactivating various runc.* mounts up until this point. once that eth0 could not set route message appears the runc messages stop after that the instance is unreachable and fails the instance checks, I am unable to stop it gracefully. Once it is force stopped, and restarted then it was fine again, until that time the next day when network connectivity is lost. This has happened two days in a row. There is no indication in the syslog except that eth0 timed out, and fails. I've had machines ssh'd into it and they get disconnected.

Hello, Could you please unlock the EIP 52.57.144.57 from my account? "The address with allocation id eipalloc-XXXX cannot be released because it is locked to your account. Please contact AWS Support to unlock it" I tried associate it with a new instance and release it but without success. rDNS also was removed but it didn't help too. Thank you!

I created a public instance and tried to connect to it through putty but when I tried to SSH to it from PUTTY with proper IP address and .ppk KEY along with correct USER ID, server responded as - " Server refused our key " and " No supported authentication methods available (server sent: publickey,gssapi-keyex,gssapi-with-mic) " how do I resolve this error? Instance configuration - AMI : Amazon Linux - I can HTTP to the instance through browsers and it's working - used Putty terminal emulator - KEY is Generated from EC2 - I set Private key in Connection\Auth\Credentials in putty. - I confirmed the user name using which is ec2-user for my instance AMI. - ![Error Image](/media/postImages/original/IMSbBcCPW4Sny8yQO8NR0q_g) when I googled I found this but I couldn't understand - https://aws.amazon.com/premiumsupport/knowledge-center/ec2-server-refused-our-key/ I hope someone will give me a little explanation

Hello Team, For the AMI ID ami-02f3f602d23f1659d (al2023-ami-2023.0.20230315.0-kernel-6.1-x86_64), I am seeing that crontab is missing [root@ip-172-31-11-172 ~]# contab -l -bash: contab: command not found After that I have installed the crontab manually using the command **yum install cronie cronie-anacron** But could you please let me know, Is the AWS missed to include crontab or hereafter the AMI will come up without crontab. Could you please confirm.

I can't connect to my ec2 instance by ssh, and I notice its health check failed yesterday. At the same time, monitor can't get any data from instance. I try to get some info from "Actions -> Monitor and troubleshoot -> Get system log " but there is no latest log. I try to restart my instance, error still exist and I still can't connect to my instance by ssh. Plesae tell me what else could I do to fix my instance.

I am migrating an aws ec2 instance to virtualbox which is on premise. I did it by referring to the following document: https://docs.aws.amazon.com/vm-import/latest/userguide/vmexport.html If the os is ubuntu, it went well, but in the case of amazon linux 2, the system log appeared and did not go beyond the black screen. So I checked the logs and got the following error: ``` 00:00:16.963092 GIM: KVM: VCPU 1: Enabled system-time struct. at 0x000000011ff5a040 - u32TscScale=0xc587c2ef i8TscShift=-1 uVersion=2 fFlags=0x1 uTsc=0x53fcdb5f1 uVirtNanoTS=0x20670f8e0 TscKHz=2592006 00:00:16.963228 TM: Host/VM is not suitable for using TSC mode 'RealTSCOffset', request to change TSC mode ignored 00:00:22.241445 PIIX3 ATA: Ctl#1: RESET, DevSel=0 AIOIf=0 CmdIf0=0xc4 (-1 usec ago) CmdIf1=0x00 (-1 usec ago) 00:00:22.241561 PIIX3 ATA: Ctl#1: finished processing RESET ``` (It ran normally in VMWARE.) If the instance of ec2 uses amazon linux2, is there anything else I need to do other than what is in the document when exporting the image and importing it to virtual box?

Subject: Constant creation of Test-env EC2 instance Dear AWS Support Team, I am writing to inquire about the constant creation of an EC2 instance named "Test-env" on my AWS account. I have noticed that this instance is being created automatically on a regular basis, without any action on my part. I would like to understand the reason for this behavior and how I can disable it, as it is causing unnecessary expenses for my account. I have checked my AWS account settings, but I could not find any option to disable this automatic creation. Could you please provide me with more information on why this instance is being created and how I can disable this feature? I would appreciate any guidance or support that you can offer. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Best regards, Yevhen

I have 2 ec 2 instances running and am able to login to both from pc desktop but not from Android mobile It is my understanding that we can have 2 connections through rdp, is these connections to the server or the instances, so my question is my having 2 instances is that my connections used up and I need to pay for rdp licence then? Or should I be able to connect through my mobile as well? If it is possible to connect through mobile, can someone detail the process for doing so? If I need to buy licences, where do I find details to do that and also associated costs, I would need a connection to each instance through mobile, so is that 2 rdp licenses required? any pointers appreciated Many Thanks Gordon
