Unable to launch App Runner Service using AWS CDK (InternalFailure)
We have been trying to launch App Runner Service using CDK (Java) but keep getting the following error. > Resource handler returned message: "null" (RequestToken: 565eeb6a-8af1-af59-5612-12ef28c1380e, HandlerErrorCode: InternalFailure) To provide details, our CDK code does the following: 1. Creates an AWS Code Pipeline for building our code (CDK + Spring Boot Service) from GitHub 2. Builds a Docker image for a Spring Boot Service. 3. Upload the Docker image to AWS ECR. 4. Launch AWS App Runner --> This step fails We were able to comment out step 4 in our CDK code and then manually launch AWS App runner from console using the Docker image built in Step 3. This makes us believe that something is wrong with either our CDK code or AWS Cloud Formation which runs the CDK. Thank you for looking at our issue.

AppRunner service fails to update with new ECR access role
I have an App Runner service that was created successfully, but fails to update if I change the ECR access role. Nothing about the role changed other than the name. It takes 40min for the update to eventually fail, and the only error messages I receive are: ``` 06-27-2022 03:50:43 PM [AppRunner] Service status is set to RUNNING. 06-27-2022 03:50:42 PM [AppRunner] Service update failed. For details, see service logs. 06-27-2022 03:11:04 PM [AppRunner] Service status is set to OPERATION_IN_PROGRESS. 06-27-2022 03:11:04 PM [AppRunner] Service update started. ``` Is this a known issue?
App Runner randomly drops requests from API Gateway
I have a service deployed in App Runner that serves as HTTP proxy integration behind API Gateway. This setup worked perfectly fine for months, but starting around May 25th, App Runner started to drop some requests that are coming from the API Gateway. Error rates spiked and integration latency went up to around 5 seconds, up from 1 second, due to the dropped requests I assume. All the deployed binaries are the exact same and the latency on the service that sits behind App Runner stayed flat. So it looks like something must have changed in App Runner. It almost behaves like a rate limit or some firewall rule where it blocks requests after a certain amount of requests. But hard to troubleshoot since there is limited visibility into the App Runner service. Is there a way to allow those requests in case there are some blocking rules in place? This seems reproducible. I tried redeploying the service, but still get the same behavior. Any ideas what else I can try? I would love to keep using the service.
Custom domain DNS entry record type not specified
The DNS entries for custom App Runner domains are CNAME entries. This is not specified anywhere on the Custom Domain page DNS list for the domains, which makes it challenging to implement (especially for folk without much DNS experience that may think they are TXT records or something).
Apprunner fails on Health check
``` 05-19-2022 09:29:04 PM [AppRunner] Health check on port '8080' failed. Service is rolling back. Check your configured port number. For more information, read the application logs. 05-19-2022 09:22:49 PM [AppRunner] Performing health check on port '8080'. 05-19-2022 09:22:39 PM [AppRunner] Provisioning instances and deploying image. 05-19-2022 09:22:27 PM [AppRunner] Successfully pulled image from ECR. 05-19-2022 09:19:34 PM [AppRunner] Successfully created pipeline for automatic deployments. 05-19-2022 09:19:23 PM [AppRunner] Service status is set to OPERATION_IN_PROGRESS. 05-19-2022 09:19:22 PM [AppRunner] Service creation started. ``` I try to setup a new AppRunner service, I use ecr to upload my docker image. on my local pc the docker image is running fine on http://localhost:8080/ but when I try to upload it to AppRunner it always fails. I searched online for a solution but could find something that helped me. Is there ant possibility that the issue is on aws side?
