Hello! I'm facing an error while connecting to a Amazon workspace via windows client. This error shows up as soon as I start up the client, so I'm not even able to register using my registration code or see login page. The error is: 'No network : Network connection lost. Check your network connection or contact administrator for help.' This workspace is not new, it is one which I have been using for more than 2 years with same registration code. The issue is a lot weird, as I'm not sure what is exactly causing it. I tested using following ways: Primary laptop : laptop1 Secondary laptop : laptop2 Primary network : net1 Secondary network : net2 I get the above error when I use the combination of laptop1 and net1. But when I use the combination of laptop1 and net2, I'm able to access the workspace. This made me think maybe something is being blocked on my net1. But then I tried combination of laptop2 and net1, I was able to access my workspace as expected. The only thing different on laptop1 and laptop2 is that laptop2 had a fresh install of Amazon workspace client, as it never had the setup done on it previously. The laptop1 being my daily usage one had the amazon workspace installed on it. I tried removing the amazon workspace client form laptop1 with some advanced uninstallers and system temp directories clean up , restart and then re install of the client, but still the issue persisted. I cannot use laptop2 as my daily one, and have to try to get it working on laptop1 and net1 combo. Also net2 cannot be used continuously as it is a cellular network. Attached are logs from, please let me know if any more details are required: %LOCALAPPDATA%\Amazon Web Services\Amazon WorkSpaces\logs Logs: Laptop1, network1 https://pastebin.com/raw/hJQqm7JA Laptop1, network2 https://pastebin.com/raw/U97UHEbh Laptop2, network1 https://pastebin.com/raw/2ZHrMvPP Screen shots: ![Startup](/media/postImages/original/IMBtMbk2U8TvumH82L7u4kcg) ![Connection](/media/postImages/original/IMKz2XbcePSo6WsdtrXflGUg)

Hello, Having an issue where WorkDocs will NOT start up under a certain user's Windows profile. This is a AWS Workspace Windows server 2019 desktop. I created a new profile on the same Workspace and WorkDocs works perfectly fine. I deleted AppData\Roaming\Amazon folder which promps for user settings to be entered, but once I click login the system tray icon opens and closes immediately and will not connect or show the program. Wondering if there are any recommended steps to resolve this issue other than recreating a new Windows Profile. I also tried resetting theMessage Queuing service already. Thanks in advance. DGVTECH

I am considering installing the AWS Workspace optimizer stack to auto move users between full month and hourly based on their monthly usage count. https://aws.amazon.com/solutions/implementations/cost-optimizer-for-amazon-workspaces/ **2 Questions** - If a user is moved from full month back to hourly, what hourly/disconnected stop time does it use? Does it use the original hourly setting the machine was built with or some other number of hours? Our users often run projects overnight while disconnected from their machines. We might set them at 6 to 12 hours for auto-disconnect but never 1 hour. - I saw that the optimizer can be installed in dry run mode. What do you have to do to move it from dry run to active mode? Uninstall and reinstall the stack? Thanks

Hi, I am trying to set up an image for WorkSpaces, and I am setting up WSL1 with Ubuntu. The problem I am having is WSL is installing the package is in the D:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\ folder, and on image creation this is not captured due to it on the D drive and not on the C drive. While if I could use WSL2 I could export and move the install but I can't do that on WS, so the only other option I can see is to somehow stop the use of D drive and only use C drive to force the install there. The other annoying part is set bookmarks I have for firefox are not being captured in the image as well, but that is less of a problem. Ideally, I would just like to use C drive, or on image capture, it captures the exact state the computer is in vs splitting it between drives (if even possible?) Looking for any ideas on how I can best do this without making users jump through hoops installing and re-setting up WSL Ubunutu with all the apps. Thanks

Hi Everyone, i'm new to amazon workspace. I created one yesterday and downloaded the app for mac os. I am trying to log in. Already put in registration code, but could not access. When I click forgot password to try to reset, it says "Server Error. There was an error with your request. Please try again later." Same thing for over 24 hours. Any recommendations? Thx in advance. -- I deleted the user and directory and tried again. With new email at the screen where I create password for first time getting the same error right now. I am trying to allow python to be downloaded into my workspace. I followed the instructions in this workshop: https://catalog.us-east-1.prod.workshops.aws/workshops/ba8389fd-99a1-4010-a95e-d691a2c08311/en-US/workspacesadmin/pcoipadm to add Group Policy to my workspace and then I followed these instructions https://docs.aws.amazon.com/workspaces/latest/adminguide/amazon-workspaces-troubleshooting.html#msi_wont_install to enable installation of python. My "Administrative Templates: Policy definitions (ADMX files) pulled from central store." folder in Group Policy Management Agent Editor does not contain all the folders it should. In my WSP workspace I only see an "Amazon" folder and "All Settings file", in my Administrative Templates folder, missing others and the necessary Classic Administrative Templates folder to complete my task. I repeated the entire tutorial on PCOIP workspace and had a similar issue ("Administrative Templates: Policy definitions (ADMX files) pulled from central store." folder did not contain the Classic Administrative Templates folder). Please advise!

Hi there, Here is my setup: - Workspace (Windows Server 2016) running mode set to **Always On** - **Keep me logged** in check box selected - WorkDocs Drive installed in the Workspace, set to automatically log in - When I log into the Workspace, Workdocs drive mounts correctly on W: as expected The problem: - When I log out of the Workspace or if I close the Workspace window, the Workdocs drive on W: unmounts itself - I know because I have file backup software that backs up files to an external host. The software fails with a "path not found" error when it runs while I'm not logged in. But it runs successfully when I am logged in. No other changes. - I'm not looking to be convinced to back up to S3, I have y reasons for backing up using a 3rd party back up tool - I just want to answer the question "how can I keep the workdocs drive mounted to my windows 2016 Workspace, even when I'm no logged into the Workspace" Thanks

I have a cloudwatch alarm that alerts if any workspace in a given directory has status change to unhealthy. It works fine but I am looking for a way to have the workspace ID, username or machine name added to the alert. If it was possible to search the workspace list in the gui for status, this would be just as well but it's not. Also if it was possible to sort the whole workspace list in the gui, this would work well but is not an option. You can only sort one page at a time. Thanks
