Hi, I am trying to set up an image for WorkSpaces, and I am setting up WSL1 with Ubuntu. The problem I am having is WSL is installing the package is in the D:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\ folder, and on image creation this is not captured due to it on the D drive and not on the C drive. While if I could use WSL2 I could export and move the install but I can't do that on WS, so the only other option I can see is to somehow stop the use of D drive and only use C drive to force the install there. The other annoying part is set bookmarks I have for firefox are not being captured in the image as well, but that is less of a problem. Ideally, I would just like to use C drive, or on image capture, it captures the exact state the computer is in vs splitting it between drives (if even possible?) Looking for any ideas on how I can best do this without making users jump through hoops installing and re-setting up WSL Ubunutu with all the apps. Thanks

Hi Everyone, i'm new to amazon workspace. I created one yesterday and downloaded the app for mac os. I am trying to log in. Already put in registration code, but could not access. When I click forgot password to try to reset, it says "Server Error. There was an error with your request. Please try again later." Same thing for over 24 hours. Any recommendations? Thx in advance. -- I deleted the user and directory and tried again. With new email at the screen where I create password for first time getting the same error right now. Not sure why.... https://pasteboard.co/wuTdw49Y3MGA.png https://pasteboard.co/8tp5Gx3Rc8gr.png https://pasteboard.co/FG1sgltgUDf3.png

I am trying to allow python to be downloaded into my workspace. I followed the instructions in this workshop: https://catalog.us-east-1.prod.workshops.aws/workshops/ba8389fd-99a1-4010-a95e-d691a2c08311/en-US/workspacesadmin/pcoipadm to add Group Policy to my workspace and then I followed these instructions https://docs.aws.amazon.com/workspaces/latest/adminguide/amazon-workspaces-troubleshooting.html#msi_wont_install to enable installation of python. My "Administrative Templates: Policy definitions (ADMX files) pulled from central store." folder in Group Policy Management Agent Editor does not contain all the folders it should. In my WSP workspace I only see an "Amazon" folder and "All Settings file", in my Administrative Templates folder, missing others and the necessary Classic Administrative Templates folder to complete my task. I repeated the entire tutorial on PCOIP workspace and had a similar issue ("Administrative Templates: Policy definitions (ADMX files) pulled from central store." folder did not contain the Classic Administrative Templates folder). Please advise!

Hi there, Here is my setup: - Workspace (Windows Server 2016) running mode set to **Always On** - **Keep me logged** in check box selected - WorkDocs Drive installed in the Workspace, set to automatically log in - When I log into the Workspace, Workdocs drive mounts correctly on W: as expected The problem: - When I log out of the Workspace or if I close the Workspace window, the Workdocs drive on W: unmounts itself - I know because I have file backup software that backs up files to an external host. The software fails with a "path not found" error when it runs while I'm not logged in. But it runs successfully when I am logged in. No other changes. - I'm not looking to be convinced to back up to S3, I have y reasons for backing up using a 3rd party back up tool - I just want to answer the question "how can I keep the workdocs drive mounted to my windows 2016 Workspace, even when I'm no logged into the Workspace" Thanks

I have a cloudwatch alarm that alerts if any workspace in a given directory has status change to unhealthy. It works fine but I am looking for a way to have the workspace ID, username or machine name added to the alert. If it was possible to search the workspace list in the gui for status, this would be just as well but it's not. Also if it was possible to sort the whole workspace list in the gui, this would work well but is not an option. You can only sort one page at a time. Thanks

Our Workspaces users are located in a different timezone than our main office. Whenever Workspaces does its "Snapshots - A rebuild and restore snapshot is taken every 12 hours." the VM slows to a crawl and will stay that way for hours. Is there anyway to change when this task starts?

We are developing a small application specifically for Amazon Workspace with the WPS protocol. Is there any way we can know if the application is running in Amazon Workspace (with WPS protocol)? Is it possible to know through the registry/config specifically for this environment?

Hello, I have successfully installed and logged in to amazon workdocs drive on my virtual pc workspace using my workplace registration code, but when I try and install workdocs on my mac and it prompts me to log in, the option to log in using workspace registration code does not appear in the window. Only the option to log in with the workdocs URL which I do not have. Does anyone know where I am going wrong?
