Firing up new RHEL 9 EC2 ARM64 instance, and immediately trying to do a yum update and it can't. It appears the BaseOS is out of sync (older) with the updated Appstream repo. None of my 12 Reserved Instances, running RHEL9, can yum update either. If I disable BaseOS, it doesn't complain. I can't contact RHEL, since RedHAT says AWS handles RedHAT support. I've tried US-EAST-1, US-EAST-2, and US-WEST-2.
The Appstream Repo, which provides all of the -devel rpms, has newer, updated rpms, which is complaining about older rpms in the BaseOS.
As you can see it wants differing packages for -devel and base versions, which can't happen. Please fix.

If you add --allowerasing, and let it remove authselect-compat on this initial update, then do a: yum group install "development tools", and let it install all the -devel rpms, now you're in for a world of hurt. what does this mean? How do i fix it immediately to get my website back up and running?
I am receiving notifications that my cpu power is not sufficient.
I have an r5dnLarge instance.
My instance has 29 months left on the reserved instance contract.
Can I increase my CPU on this instance and still keep the reserved instance contract?

My question is how to modify the Reserved Instance type without any downtime such as (t3.medium to t3.large).
Can someone help me to understand the instance reservation recommendations provided by the AWS Cost Management?
For instance, we make use of the following EC2 instances:
2x m5.large
3x t2.small
1x t3.medium
But, the reservation recommendations are:
Buy 2 m5.large
Buy 12 t2.nano
Buy 8 t3.nano
Why? Why wouldn't I just buy the exact number and type of instances that we use? Where do these t2.nano (12!) and t3.nano (8) recommendations come from? Supposedly this is based on the last 30 days of our actual usage, but our usage has been exactly as above for quite a long time.
We also use Lambda functions.... but I don't think reservations can cover Lambda usage, right?
Similarly odd recommendations are for our RDS and OpenSearch usage -- the recommendations only partially match our actual usage.
And to be clear -- our actual usage has been stable for a long time.
Any ideas?
My question is assume you have bought 1 EC2 Instance family (t3) were all instance types are covered such as (t3.nano, t3.micro, t3.small, t3.medium, t3.large, t3.xlarge
t3.2xlarge), and incase i am still in need of extra 2(t3.xlarge) & 1(t3.large), how should i match with the EC2 savings plan?
We have a lot of reserved instances and on-demand instances. How do I generate a monthly report for all RI and all on-demand servers?
I'd like to assign cost allocation tags to certain api operations that appear as untagged when i look at them in cost explorer? I think some of these are related to upfront charges for reserved instances. I can't seem to find a way to assign tags to these in the AWS docs. How do I do it?

I'm currently running a t2.micro on the free tier and I like what I've seen so far. I'm considering purchasing at least one more t2.micro. I'm trying to figure out the most cost effective way to do that.
I have a little experience with reserved instances, but I found out the hard way that storage isn't included.
So my question is this. If I want to replicate the instance I have running in the free tier, what's the most cost effective way to do that? If that's a reserved instance, how do I purchase the storage I need? Is it on-demand pricing at the point I create the new instance?
Finally, is there anything else I need to purchase?

I made my calculations and there is no way to totalize $47.13 as they said in this article
...
And why do they say in other articles that there is not a usage commitment on Reserved Instances if we are buying an Instance for one year or three?
