I got the: "ACM was unable to automatically renew your certificate" ... for domain "smurf.sad" (example) AWS is the domain controller. Email verification is (for some reason) turned on and the emails in questions are set on the smurf.sad. For instance: admin@smurf.sad, webmaster@smurf.sad, etc. Therefore the renewal certificates end up in dev/null. Is there an easy way to get those emails? (I tried lambda email forwarding but got lost in the SES/S3/lambda policies and rules). I'd be happy to switch to domain record verification, but for some reason such an option is not available. See: https://docs.aws.amazon.com/acm/latest/userguide/dns-validation.html The 'Create record in Route 53' is not available, and the instructions on page https://docs.aws.amazon.com/acm/latest/userguide/troubleshooting-DNS-validation.html#troubleshooting-route53-1 left me stranded as I feel I am compliant with all the requirements... I believe the button is not there because the certificate has still not expired. If there's a simple way to add a CNAME / TXT entry, I'd like to learn what would be the values. By all accounts I should be able to renew the certificate as I am the sole admin with full access privileges and the domain is controlled by AWS. Any hints?

I currently have a CNAME, for example, portal.mycompany.net which points back to my companies public IP address and name is translated at the firewall to access our web server. I need to change this so portal.mycompany.net now point to a public IP address of a company that is now hosting that site. Would I simply just change the 'value/route traffic to' field and enter the public address where this now hosted or do I need to change the CNAME 'type' to something different? Thanks for any help.

So, i have a working hosted zone in account "A", the primary domain name for it, looks like `example.com`. I have created another hosted zone in account "B", for domain name `test.example.com`, took generated NS records from there, using those, i created the NS record in account "A" - primary hosted zone (`example.com`). After that, i requested certificate from AWS ACM in account "B", for domain name `*.test.example.com`, and validated it by creating the "CNAME" record in hosted zone of account "B" (`test.example.com`). And now, the problem: i want to create an "A" record, to my ALB, which should look like `lb.something.test.example.com` (so basically i add 2 additional subdomains within the domain of the hosted-zone `test.example.com`). The redirection works, but browser is crying about the certificate domain name (which is `*.test.example.com`) and the url that im trying to request (which is `lb.something.test.example.com`) not being the same. Even thought, if i set the value for the same "A" record in account "B" hosted zone, to be just `something.test.example.com` redirection also works, and browser is happy (even thought, i request now url `something.test.example.com` and the certificate is `*.test.example.com`). I know it might not be fully connected to the AWS route 53 functionality, but to functionality of the DNS service as whole, but i would appreciate if someone would share any documentation or solution on how to achieve what i need. Thanks

I have a domain registered with Route 53. This morning I received an email from Amazon stating that my contact information had changed to something I didn't recognize. I went to the Route 53 console and all of my contact information is correct. If I go to WHOIS.com, the record was changed this morning (around the time Amazon sent me the email) to the one I don't recognize. Questions: * Is it possible to change the WHOIS record outside of Amazon? * Will this new, incorrect data eventually make its way to my Route 53 configuration? * Am I at risk of losing the domain if I can't figure out how to correct this? My presumption is, since Amazon manages the domain for me, they should be the source of record for the WHOIS contact information, which adds to the confusion of why it could have changed in the public record but still be correct in my AWS console.

I have a domain `abc.io` in my Route 53. I have a nextJS application in AWS amplify. I have my marketing website on the EC2 server. I wanted `abc.io` to open my nextJS application whereas `abc.io/w/*` opens the marketing website. How can I configure my AWS to achieve that?

My domain (`example.com`) is registered with name.com. Domain's NS are pointed to AWS Route 53 name servers. My WordPress is hosted at siteground and having IP address (`1.1.1.1` example) and a subdomain (`aws.example.com`) is created at siteground. In my AWS CloudFront distribution, Origin domain is pointed to `aws.example.com` since it will not accept the IP address. In Route 53, `aws.example.com` A record points to IP (`1.1.1.1` from siteground). And `example.com` & `www.example.com`'s A & AAA records point to AWS CloudFront distribution name (`d1111abcd8.cloudfront.net` example). Above configuration return 502 error for both domain name and CloudFront distribution name. (Error: CloudFront wasn't able to connect to the origin). How can I make this configuration work while I use `example.com` as public domain with CloudFront? CloudFront configuration: Supported HTTP versions: HTTP/2, HTTP/1.1, HTTP/1.0 Alternate domain names: www.example.com, example.com Custom SSL certificate: Yes, issued by AWS ACM Origin domain: aws.example.com Protocol: HTTP only No additional CF configuration

I want to use my AWS Route 53 domain with Cloudflare’s nameservers. I’ve changed the nameservers under Registered Domains and also under Hosted Zones. I then realised that it’s probably redundant to have it there twice, so I deleted the Hosted Zone. This then broke everything so I added it back. Now with them both set to Cloudflare’s nameservers, I’m waiting 3 days for the DNS to finish propitiating (it hasn’t propagated to my country yet so my site doesn’t work for me). Without breaking anything else, is it possible to point my domain to Cloudflare’s nameservers without having a Hosted Zone set up? Pointing my domain to the same nameservers through 2 different areas of AWS just seems like it should be redundant.

Hi, I changed name server, added A and CNAME record in Route53 hosting zone, but still my domain is not redirecting to wordpress website which on lightsail. Is anyone having similar issues? I followed this link: https://lightsail.aws.amazon.com/ls/docs/en_us/articles/amazon-lightsail-using-route-53-to-point-a-domain-to-an-instance If I check my DNS using online tools, they say they cant find anything related to my domain. Thanks in advance. Satinder.

Hello, We have domains and subdomains as part of gov.uk in our company and we use AWS Route 53 for DNS. How do I setup SPF, DKIM and DMARC for theses domains and how do I know whether a particular domain can send an email or not? Many thanks in advance Del
