What is best practices to migrate VMware vm's to AWS cloud?
I am working with a partner that is having some difficulties setting up a test on-prem vSphere environment where they can test VMware HCX capabilities with VMware Cloud on AWS.
While that is being sorted out internally within their teams, other options to provide such an environment are being considered. Can another VMware Cloud on AWS SDDC be simulated to be an on-prem environment? As HCX is included with VMware Cloud on AWS, can you run a VPN between two VMC SDDCs and use HCX to perform migration?
I understand that the process of setting up HCX in an on-prem vSphere environment is completely different. But I'd still like to know if this is technically possible or not.
A customer is configuring firewall rules between their test on-premises environment and the VMware Cloud on AWS (VMC) on Software Defined Data Center (SDDC). Since, they won’t know the allocated Public IP Addresses for the SDDC HCX and vCenter Instances until the SDDC is deployed, their security team would like to add the AWS Public IP Address Pools to the required FW rules.
I know we have the [AWS IP Ranges JSON][1]. From my research it appears that Elastic IPs can be from the AMAZON or the EC2 service pools.
Do the SDDC and appliances (for example: HCX and vCenter) receive a public IP Address from the EC2 & AMAZON Service Pools from this list?

If a private cloud provider has VMware infrastructure and they deploy a VMware on AWS SDDC, and link it back to their vCenter using Hybrid Linked Mode; can a tenant of the private cloud be given resources in the VMware Cloud on AWS SDDC, via vCloud Director allocations and see both private cloud and VMware Cloud on AWS resources on a “single pane of glass”?
Can we extend the VMware Cloud on AWS Networking to another VPC in a separate AWS account. I.e. can a VM in VMware Cloud on AWS, access an EC2 instance in another AWS account, which was not integrated to VMware Cloud on AWS during the setup phase.
