URGENT: my account was hacked (Case ID XXXXXXXXXX) - Bill 24k USD
Hi everyone, I need help urgently!! my account was hacked on March 20th and billing is around 24k USD, I raised the case on March 24th when I notice the problem, but, the case in AWS Support has not so much progress. I did the following actions: - Modified password and MFA - Removed users and groups that I dont recognize - Released the dedicated hosts that were created under my account (17) - Removed other components (like Elastic IP) that was not created by me I dont know what else must I do now, I have 2 days waiting for a reply from AWS Support but it is taking long and I'm totally desperate now, can't sleep with this issue :'( Anyone that can help me, with more instructions to secure my account and/or escalating the case, my main concern is about the billing amount, unfortunately I can't affort pay for it, my account was mainly for testing, explore and implement University homeworks. How can I demonstrate that these configurations were not created by me? I will be very grateful with any help! *edited: Removed Case ID -— Brian D.
Does granting a user AWSSupportAccess implicitly grant that user an ability to make changes to the AWS account via and AWS support agent?
Looking to know what the process/scope of an AWS support agent is in responding to support requests. If I delegate access to a user so they can utilise AWS support services, am I creating a pathway for that user to make changes to the AWS account via a support request that is beyond that user's authority?
6000 SQS requests where I don't have any queues defined
I was looking at my billing dashboard where I mostly have S3 storage, and 1 key in KMS. The odd thing is that there are 6000 SQS messages which doesn't add up to any cost but still why are there SQS message count where I don't have any services that uses SQS nor do I have any queues defined?

IP doesn't redirect to the domain
I keep getting SafeMode activated message on my Wordpress website, even after I have tried to transfer connection or create a new connection. My brother has helped my set up the hosting and we did it following the instructions on AWS Lightsail. So we set it up with the IP address 184.108.40.206 and I first logged in to my dashboard via this link http://220.127.116.11/wp-admin/ . I have installed jetpack and woocommerce payments plugins. Then I’ve got my own domain name beadembroideryart.com and I think this created a duplicate page or something like that. Now I login to my dashboard via http://beadembroideryart.com/wp-admin/ . But the problem is that every now and again I get a notification SafeMode activated transfer your connection from 18.104.22.168 to beadembroideryart.com or create new one. When I click transer connection it goes away for a short time and comes back again in a while. When I do a new connection it’s the same and the only difference is that I need to set up my payments again from the start. I don’t know what am I doing wrong as there is no other option to choose from. Does this mean that the IP doesn’t redirect to the domain and this causes a duplicate connection conflict for WooCommerce Payment detection?
PearsonVue glitch: Exam is blocked by AWS for next 14 days
Hi, I appeared yesterday for DVA-C01 exam and due to PearsonVue glitch it got aborted. PearsonVue has provided a new coupon to reschedule the exam but AWS has blocked me for 14 days assuming I have failed the exam. I want to write my exam ASAP (now if possible). How long it can take them to unplug me ?
AWS new account
Hi, What is going on with AWS new account registration? We are trying to register a new account for our company to make some services live. Its been 2 weeks since we have registered a new account and its stuck in verification process on AWS side. AWS called us for verification and that call was unfortunately missed and they suspended our account. Since then we are trying to reach AWS for re-activation of the account. We also have submitted the verification documents as well. But there is no response from AWS. I want to know why AWS is putting these type of restrictions on new account registration? I also find out that they have implemented the restriction of 1 vCPU for new account. This seems insane to me for a business account. If there is such a process AWS is willing to incorporate for new account then I wonder how businesses can rely on their services. Verification process taking 2 weeks and still we are nowhere. We are AWS customer for last 3-4 years but now this attitude is making us think to consider other cloud providers. I hope for AWS official can look into this matter. Thanks
My support case has not been answered after 48h
Dear community, I have raised a case with ID 95591xxxxx more than 48h ago and its status shows "unassigned" yet. My organization has a Developer Support Plan. Should the case status not have changed already? I am wondering if has gotten lost among other cases. Any help would be most appreciated. Best regards, JC
Should I Buy Developer or Business Support?
Hi, I am a Developer work for my company (small to medium company, you can call it startup). Currently we have a plan to migrate our asset/image/file from our server (we have TB amount of file) to S3. After several research and comparing to another storage service provider, we decide to plan to migrating to AWS S3. The thing that I want to ask is since I am a Developer, not an Infrastructure guy, I want to buy the support plan. I need a professional support because I never use any AWS service (I used Digital Ocean, Linode, GCP before). What I know is just some article, tutorial in the internet. I don't know if the solution they tell is the reliable one and suitable or base practice for our case. And AWS have a lot (yes, a lot) service that makes me overwhelm. A lot of option makes me more confuse what to choose. I am a Developer, what I supposed to do is the matter one: Building an app, making the idea happened. I Develop app, not infrastructure. I plan to buy the Developer or Business support which confusing me too, lol. If I want AWS support to help me to do my project that I tell earlier, which support should I choose? I want the support that hold handy, give me clear technical guide, how to install this, that, how to do this that based on our servers, etc. I see the enterprise support is out of our budget range so the plan is only Developer support and Business support. Hope you understand what I said, I appreciate any feedback given to me. Thanks :)
