Try to migrate from POstgres 9.6.24 to 10
Hi, I would like to update my current Postgres database from version 9.6.24 to 10.19. When update is done, I see precheck log file that indicates migration failure because of Postgis extension. Current POstgis extension is 2.5.5 in my 9.6.24 Postgres database. Do you have any idea how to manage this issue ? I use this extension in my database so I can't delete this extension ( because has I understand this will delete associated column in my database). Thanks in advance for your help. Best Regards
AWS RDS SQL Server Agent Tables
Hello, I'm trying to migrate an SQL Server database to RDS which uses the SQL Server agent and has a store procedure that selects from the SQL Server Agent Table dbo.sysjobsteps as per https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/sql/relational-databases/system-tables/dbo-sysjobsteps-transact-sql?view=sql-server-ver15. I've tried assigning permissions as per https://docs.aws.amazon.com/AmazonRDS/latest/UserGuide/Appendix.SQLServer.CommonDBATasks.Agent.html but I keep getting the error: The SELECT permission was denied on the object 'sysjobsteps', database 'msdb', schema 'dbo'. (even with the master user). On the other hand, other tables like dbo.sysjobs do return the expected results. Is this expected and does anyone know a workaround?

Transactional Replication Impact on CPU performance
Hi All, We are referring the below mentioned native import export backup and transactional replication for on prem to RDS data migration. https://aws.amazon.com/blogs/database/part-3-migrating-to-amazon-rds-for-sql-server-using-transactional-replication-with-native-backup-and-restore/ Here we are creating Transactional replication only (No snapshot), so we want to know how it will impact on Prod database CPU utilization. Consider before transactional replication CPU utilization is 50% in prod, and now consider if we setup transactional replication then how will it impact on cpu utilization.
Application Migration Service With Key Pair
Hi All, I used Application Migration Service to migrate one of our On-Premise VM machines to AWS Ec2, and I choose one of our existing key pairs on the template migration server. After the Migration was completed successfully, I couldn't log in to the new AWS server through the Key pair but I can log in through username and password that the on-premise server setup with. Is there a way to set up the key pair with the new server?
How to see the Egress Cost
Hi, My company is migrating to AWS from On-perm. I'm doing a POC to see what will be my egress cost when all the accounts move from On-perm to AWS. I have created the existing data model in AWS Redshift and accessing the data through Azure Power BI. I want to see cost while using the import model vs direct query. I have couple of reports in Power BI service pointing to AWS Redshift tables. I couldn't get any decent information from AWS team about how much data is being transferred from AWS to Public internet. I tried cost explorer, Bill sections and didn't find any useful information. I really appreciate if someone can show me where i can get either data transfer or egress information Thanks, Miky
AWS Transfer Family now supports multiple host keys and key types per server
AWS Transfer Family now supports up to ten host keys per SFTP server. In addition, ED25519 and ECDSA key types are now supported for server host keys. Previously, AWS Transfer Family only supported one host key per server, and only the RSA key type. These enhancements allow you to move your existing SFTP servers with multiple host keys and host key types to AWS Transfer Family. You will also be able to add and tag host keys before rotating them, giving you more control over your managed file transfer environments. Multiple host keys and host key types are supported in [all Regions where AWS Transfer Family is available](https://aws-preview.aka.amazon.com/about-aws/global-infrastructure/regional-product-services/). You can configure server host keys using the AWS Management Console, AWS Transfer Family API, or AWS Command Line Interface (CLI). To learn more about how to add multiple host keys to an SFTP server, visit our [documentation](https://docs.aws.amazon.com/transfer/latest/userguide/edit-server-config.html).
Migrate data from Couchbase to DynamoDB using AWS DMS
Hello, We are trying to migrate data from Couchbase instances that run in EC2 to DynamoDB using AWS Data Migration Service (DMS). First question: is this supported? I dont see it listed here: https://docs.aws.amazon.com/dms/latest/userguide/CHAP_Introduction.Sources.html Second question: what steps would you suggest for migrating such data
