Access Linux based storage gateway ec2 instance

Question

Hi,
I have deployed aws recommended storage gateway that is linux based ec2 instance. I am trying to connect with it using ec2 instance connect, that didn't work. Now I am trying to connect with it via putty like normally for any ec2 instance. Importing the key, entering username but it results in network time out. 
All the required ports are open in security group assigned.
Anyone have idea how to access if we can access it?

Hi, based on the network time out error you are receiving, it seems there is a network connectivity issue. I would recommend troubleshooting using this article. I would recommend verifying the first five items from the article under section "For the “Connection timed out” error, verify the following".

Once the connectivity errors resolved, please also ensure using Admin username when connecting to storage gateway EC2 instance. Thank you.
