S3 Glacier Lifecycle Management Rule

0

Hi AWS, this question is an extension to https://repost.aws/questions/QUVi-GK8CzSB2-A1RqKCMjww/s3-lifecycle-management-rule. So we have used DataSync to transfer TB(s) of data from AWS Partner account to Customer account in Production environment. Now the requirement from the customer is to apply the S3 Lifecycle Management rule following the criteria:

  1. Infrequent access
  2. Wait 6 months before going into Glacier
  3. 7 years and then delete

I have created the rule in my test environment just to be sure if it should work as expected or needs to be tweaked off. Below attached is the screenshot:

S3 Glacier Lifecycle Management Rule

Can someone from AWS team review and let me know in case if it looks good or any further modification needs to be done.

Lifecycle configuration looks good, it will work as you have mentioned. If the S3 bucket is versioned bucket, please configure Lifecycle rule for Non-current versions as well, because in a versioned enabled bucket after 7 years due to delete action on current versions, objects will be come non-current version and still stay in s3 bucket.
