IPv6 support for Cloudwatch Logs

0

The CloudWatch logs endpoints are all IPv4-only (e.g. logs.eu-west-2.amazonaws.com). This makes it difficult to e.g. export logs from a CloudWatch agent running on an IPv6-only EC2 instance. Is there a roadmap for supporting IPv6 on these endpoints?

I saw this announcement of IPv6 support in CloudWatch Logs: https://aws.amazon.com/about-aws/whats-new/2024/02/amazon-cloudwatch-logs-ipv6/

I believe you'll need to use the logs.<region>.api.aws service endpoints to connect over IPv6. See here: https://docs.aws.amazon.com/general/latest/gr/cwl_region.html
